<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114569' first='Juan' last='Cuevas'], Estancia (#11)</strong>: Estancia is well represented in our 2029 ranking because most of their top players in 2025 were freshmen, Cuevas among them. He rushed for 650 yards and 13 TD on offense and made 29 tackles with 1 INT and 1 forced fumble on <strong>defense.</strong></p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114575' first='Robert' last='Rice'], Tucumcari (#12)</strong>: Rice has good size at 6-foot-0. He rushed for over 200 yards on offense and finished second on the Rattlers with 62 tackles, 4.0 sacks and 3 fumble recoveries. Already showing good football instincts. Helped lead Tucumcari to the Class 2A playoffs </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114576' first='Jude' last='Gonzales'], Volcano Vista (#13)</strong>: Good size at 6-foot-0, 175 pounds. Contributed to the Hawks' offense with 37 carries and 2 TD in just 6 games. He'll likely be Volcano Vista's No. 2 RB in 2026. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1118255' first='Chance' last='Hocker'], Artesia (#14)</strong>: Hocker might be the most intriguing prospect in the 2029 ranking. He has yet to take a varsity snap but already he's a coveted prospect nationally based on his travels to numerous camps. His Twitter feed is filled with photos of his visits to Power 4 schools. He'll compete for Artesia's starting QB job in 2029. Threw for 2,300 yards and 33 TD for the Artesia JV in 2025. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114601' first='Gabriel' last='Muhammad'], Navajo Prep (#15)</strong>: Played on both sides of the ball for the Eagles but excelled defensively at LB with 53 tackles, 4.5 TFL and an impressive 8 forced fumbles. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114599' first='Niemiah' last='Pacheco'], Tucumcari (#16)</strong>: Another promising young talent for the Rattlers. Led all freshmen in the state in 2025 with 64 tackles, 11.5 sacks and 2 fumble recoveries. Demonstrated his ability to wreak havoc in opposing offensive backfields all season long. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114597' first='Jude' last='Madrid'], Lovington (#17)</strong>: Madrid was Lovington's third leading receiver in 2025 with 13 receptions for 251 yards and 4 TD. Averaged nearly 20 yards per catch. Ability to stretch defenses. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114598' first='Marcus' last='Montoya'], Robertson (#18)</strong>: Contributed to the Cardinals on both sides of the ball. Caught 18 passes for 208 yards and 2 TD while making 23 tackles, 2 INT and 4 forced fumbles on defense. Proved to be a key playmaker for Robertson. Developing into one of the top players in Class 3A.</p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114600' first='Ben' last='Olivarez'], Eunice (#19)</strong>: Key contributor to the Cardinals defense as a DB with 60 tackles and 7 passes defended. Helped Eunice reach the Class 2A state championship game. </p>

<p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2114603' first='Donovan' last='Lucero'], Portales (#20)</strong>: The Portales roster is filled with promising young players. Some of those players like Lucero emerged as major contributors in 2025. He had 48 tackles and 4.0 TFL as an inside linebacker for the Rams. Five of Portales' top six tacklers in 2025 were freshmen or sophomores. </p>
