We published our debut 2029 Rankings earlier today. Here's a breakdown of the Top 10:

[player_tooltip player_id='2114491' first='Kingston' last='Lee'], Silver (#1): As Lee recently showed at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase in Grants, he's big, strong, exceptionally athletic and has a powerful arm. He's 6-foot-2, 185 pounds. He has transferred to Silver in the wake of his father, former ENMU head coach Kelley Lee, being named head coach of the Colts. Probable D1 prospect in football and track. Threw for over 1,300 yards and 14 TD at Portales last fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114947' first='Dominic' last='Riley'], Grants (#2): Probably not a name many folks recognize, but Riley is worthy of this lofty position. He earned accolades this past season as a starting freshman offensive lineman at Grants. Riley already has great size at 6-foot-2, 280 pounds. He showed at the Prep Redzone Stock Up Showcase that he has fantastic mobility , good footwork and active hands. Definitely has D1 potential. Only going to get bigger and better over the next three years.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114585' first='Lucas' last='Lopez'], Eunice (#3): Six feet tall, Lopez was a big target for Eunice's record-setting QB [player_tooltip player_id='854273' first='Elijah' last='Melancon'] this past season. Lopez caught 32 passes for 587 yards and 7 TD, helping the Cardinals reach the 2A state championship game. Lopez should continue to flourish with a new quarterback in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114563' first='Julian' last='Fernandez'], Grants (#4): Staked his claim to being the top freshman running back in the state in 2025. Rushed for 817 yards and 14 TD on 137 carries, an impressive workload for a freshman. Also caught 13 passes and made 52 tackles with 4.0 TFL on defense. Excellent all-around player.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114810' first='Mack' last='Madrid'], Eldorado (#5): The top defensive player in the debut 2029 rankings. Our Freshman of the Year for Class 6A. Posted solid numbers for the Eagles in 2025 with 34 tackles, 5.0 TFL, 3.5 sacks and an impressive 16 QB hurries. Already knows how to wreak havoc in opposing offensive backfields.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114509' first='Devon' last='Chavez'], Estancia (#6): Statistically, few freshmen had a better season than Chavez in 2025. A true dual threat QB. He can certainly run with it. He amassed 1,674 rushing yards and 14 TD to finish among the state's rushing leaders. Also threw for 8 TD and made 21 tackles on defense. With Chavez running the offense, Estancia will be a team to watch in 2026.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114495' first='Braylon' last='Walton'], Raton (#7): The rich Walton legacy in Raton has at least three more years left. Braylon introduced himself to the New Mexico high school football community in 2025 by quarterbacking the Tigers to the quarterfinals of the 2A playoffs. He finished with nearly 800 yards passing. The future is bright for the Tigers because. . .

[player_tooltip player_id='2114499' first='Harlem' last='Coley'], Raton (#8): Another young offensive backfield star for the Tigers. Outstanding two-way player. He rushed for over 500 yards and 9 TD while making 56 tackles as a freshman in 2025. Currently, Coley is averaging close to 10 points per game for the Raton basketball team.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114819' first='Kayden' last='Sartain'], Estancia (#9): Another promising young player for Estancia. Fantastic size at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. Made 34 tackles with 3.0 TFL for the Bears defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2114506' first='Logan' last='Ignacio-Vigil'], Cuba (#10): Another promising young quarterback. Won the varsity starting job and threw for over 750 yards.

Here's my Top 15 from my Frosh.
