Top ranked running back Junior [player_tooltip player_id='284214' first='Savion' last='Hiter'] looks like an Power 5 type of player in my opinion and he showed it again last Friday. In Louisa County's win over Monticello Hiter had 4 touchdowns before halftime to put this contest on ice early. Hiter had three rushing scores but his fourth touchdown came on a long reception that he pulled away from the Monticello defense. This young man is the real deal in case you haven't notice already.

Quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='853095' first='Troy' last='Hamlin'] needed a big outing in order for his Red Wolves to keep pace in the playoff hunt and boy did he deliver. Throwing for three touchdown passes and a whole mess of total yards, Hamlin lead Gar-Field to a big win over rival Colgan.

I thought last week while Lake Braddock offense seems to be getting on track, they could stand to get junior running back [player_tooltip player_id='853848' first='Payton' last='Holmes'] more involved. Coach Dougherty must of been listening (just kidding) because Holmes made his mark in the Bruins win over Woodson. The junior had 3 touchdowns on the night and eclipsed the 100 yard rushing mark for the first time in his varsity career. He is nice change of pace back for the Bruins, I expect his role to increase as head down the home stretch.

[player_tooltip player_id='1199699' first='Drew' last='Morgan'] is one of the most accurate quarterbacks in Virginia and helped guide the Patriots to victory. Leading the way to Coach Hanson 300th career win (that is an insane stat by the way) Morgan threw for 2 touchdowns and 269 yards. The homecoming victory over Centreville was extra special for Morgan and company as it brough Coach Hanson his 300th career victory. Think about that for a minute, some schools do not even have 300 wins total.

Battlefield has an assortment of high caliber stars on both sides off the ball that stars like [player_tooltip player_id='1232336' first='Sage' last='Davis'] can be possibly ignored. He has quietly been a workhorse for the Bobcats offense and he added four more touchdowns against Unity Reed. The Bobcats have made light work off all their opponents thus far so Davis and their other stars may only play a half or so. With matchups looming against Gainesville and Patriot expect that to change which I am sure Davis and his squad will welcome.

Navy Commit [player_tooltip player_id='1231302' first='Brady' last='Carmical'] was instrumental in Briar Woods impressive win over Fort Hill. Playing the game without a number of his top weapons the senior had 4 touchdown passes on the night. The win over the top ranked Sentinels put the Falcons back over .500 and right back in the playoff hunt.

[player_tooltip player_id='1233311' first='Owen' last='Morris'] was phenomenal in Edison blowout win over Lewis, tallying 3 touchdowns in one quarter of play. He really has great strength and explosion after the catch. On two of his touchdowns you see the power and speed he has when he pulls away from multiple Lancers defenders.

Very quietly over in Fairfax Friday night the Lions handled business against West Potomac and Tolson was downright unblock able. Notching two sacks and many tackles for losses (I honesty lost count) Tolson was outstanding in the Lions bounce back win.
