Week 5 Game Balls

<p>We are halfway thru the football season in Virginia can you believe it! I have been relocating/moving myself hence the delay in my post, enough of that though Week 5 game balls below:</p>    <p class="text-gray-700">When the Fairfax Lions were seizing momentum trailing by 1 touchdown to Lake Braddock it appeared they had all the momentum to tie the game. All-state defensive tackle [player_tooltip player_id='1231611' first='Trent' last='Pane'] had other plans as he made four big tackles on back to back series to give his squad some needed juice. This was the first time I saw Pane play live and he is the most underrated defensive linemen in the state, if you do not believe me just watch his tape. He told me afterwards that he moved himself along the line as he knew he needed to get in the backfield and makes plays for the Bruins. This kid is the real deal and these PWO's should be turning into scholarship offers very soon!</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/carljfred/status/1839834437040603227 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Before the year I thought if Hayfield had to make any adjustments it would be at the quarterback position. Not because [player_tooltip player_id='372517' first='Isaiah' last='French'] isnt a potential division 1 quarterback, but because he was new to Coach Overton's system, I thought it might take him some time to gel. He sure proved me wrong as from week 1 French has been electric for the Hawks and Hayfield is steamrolling each opponent. This past week going against South County the senior quarterback was once again flawless, throwing for 4 scores and running for another. Going against a top ranked Stallions defense is impressive, to have 5 total touchdowns is even better. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">In St. Paul's mammoth win over Collegiate junior linemen [player_tooltip player_id='1297967' first='Alex' last='Reyes'] was all over the field making plays! This was a defensive battle and Reyes won his battles up front to chip in with 11 tackles and 2 sacks. Honestly after watching the tape it felt he had more than 2 sacks, he was constantly in the backfield. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/thealexreyes_/status/1840582490655719748 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Each week North Stafford has stars posting highlight worthy tapes making me more and more intrigued to check out one of their games this fall. Receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1311634' first='Kenaz' last='Sullivan'] is the latest that has wowed me with his ridiculous catch and run below. A top ten ranked athlete for the class of 2027, Sullivan is going to fun to watch for the next couple of years.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/KenazSullivan/status/1840534138258145736 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Speaking of dominating performances, running back [player_tooltip player_id='1298397' first='Joshua' last='Johnson'] had one against Collegiate as well. Three touchdowns is good, but what is eye popping is 209 rushing yards on 17 carries! My esteemed colleague Cole Laing covered him last week which you can view on our home page. I agree with Cole in that Johnson is going to be relied upon all season for St. Paul VI.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/jay1johnson_/status/1840900546380640538 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Langley is quietly off to a 5-0 start and [player_tooltip player_id='1298294' first='Cole' last='Samburg'] has been great at quarterback for the Saxons. He was once again flawless in their win over Lightridge throwing for three touchdowns and 248 yards. Samburg is seeing the field very well halfway through his junior year, he has the Langley community talking playoffs too. He will be fun to watch as district play continues, a dual threat qb who deserves a rankings bump next year.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/ColeSamburg/status/1840035346932793499 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">The Warhawks defense is the best in the state through 5 games this year that is a fact until proven otherwise. Middle linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1231282' first='Jackson' last='Ambruzs'] is playing at an all state level, which is even more impressive considering he has transitioned to this position in the off-season. Ambruzs is typically the first one to the ball carrier, he has closing speed and good blocker awareness. Once again a high powered offense came up against Ambruzs and company and they were shut down.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/JackAmbruzs/status/1840744782382932042 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Another game and another game ball worthy performance for Patriot's rising star quarterback [player_tooltip player_id='1231457' first='Tyler' last='Knutson']. The senior threw for four touchdowns in the Pioneers victory over Unity Reed and he looks prime for some offers here soon. We have talked about Knutson's game before and he has continued on a positive traction with his play. Knutson is 6'4 and has many FCS schools very interested, it will only take 1 institution to offer him and they will not regret it.</p>
