Rumson-Fair Haven (5-0) at Red Bank Catholic (3-2), 7pm

Red Bank Catholic, winner of the Non-Public, Group B state championship last year, is tasked with playing the Shore Conference's best team year-in and year-out. That said, they are going to get Rumson-Fair Haven's best shot.

This week we take a closer look at the visiting Bulldogs' defense, which features several strong performers to compliment their offense. Linebacker [player_tooltip player_id='1195884' first='Jacob' last='Tobias'] is the senior statesmen and headlines the defense. Tobias leads the team in tackles with 38.5 thus far. With those stops, he subsequently leads the team with 8.5 tackles for loss. Tied for the team lead in interceptions with 2, he has also forced and recovered a fumble. As a member of the defensive secondary, Tobias relies on [player_tooltip player_id='1524368' first='Toby' last='Najenson'], a junior, to won the second level of their defense. Trust into a more major role this season, Najenson has responded with 23.5 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, and 2.5 sacks. It is, however, in the trenches that the Bulldogs might have their next big lineman prospect in sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1524371' first='Ben' last='Gredell']. Gredell leads the team in sacks so far with 3.5 and has made a productive 27 tackles to go along with 2 tackles for loss.

The Bulldog front will look to slow down [player_tooltip player_id='521913' first='Frankie' last='Williams'] and company in this matchup. Gone are the days of Gavin Brewton and Emanuel Ross and in is a new cast of characters. Junior target [player_tooltip player_id='1524374' first='Daniel' last='Zabora'] appears to have filled Ross' share of red zone targets, as he leads the team in yardage (279), and touchdowns (4), while ranking second on the team with 16 catches. While Zabora gets his work, [player_tooltip player_id='991953' first='Jason' last='Berecsky'] appears to be the heir-apparent to it all, as the true freshman is off to a 14/147/1 start to this career - all good for third on the team. The youth movement continues as [player_tooltip player_id='910826' first='Jordan' last='Mosenthine'] seems to have seized the momentum in the backfield. Despite being just one carry short of the team lead with 20, Mosenthine has produced 222 yards on the ground - nearly 100 yards more than the second-leading rusher - and leads the time in scoring rushes with 4. Further, he has hauled in 4 catches for 39 yards and a score.

Red Bank Regional (3-2) at Middletown North (5-0), 7pm

After falling due to a highly controversial finish two weeks ago that the NJSIAA came out, and admitted, the referees got the call wrong, Red Bank Regional responded with a big win over Lacey last week. Now they have their toughest test yet as they roll into Middletown's Northside to test an undefeated team. Little information is available about the visiting Bucs, however, it does appear that [player_tooltip player_id='1524375' first='Jah'Mir' last='Lane-Bailey'] is their number one target, having scored on 3 touchdown receptions thus far. [player_tooltip player_id='1524377' first='Dean' last='Goldberg'] is a disruptive force on defense, having one scoop & score to his ledger during his senior season.

The undefeated Lions squad looks to protect their den with a quarterback-receiver combo that should set them up well for the next two seasons. [player_tooltip player_id='1524379' first='Owen' last='Robson'], a junior, is having an efficient year. Robson is 61-83 on the season for 863 yards with 7 touchdowns to 1 interception; Robson has also added 1 score and 60 yards on the ground on 7 carries. His fellow 2026 graduate [player_tooltip player_id='1524381' first='Jack' last='Viola'] is the team's leading receiver with a slash line of 21/370/2, with the former two figurers leading the team and the latter being good for second on the team. Defensively, disruptive edge player [player_tooltip player_id='819150' first='Joseph' last='Grasso'] is amongst the team leaders in tackles with 24 credited to him, along with 4 tackles for loss, and a team-leading 2 sacks. Grasso has also scored once with 152 reception yards on 9 grabs. Grasso has also recently grabbed an offer from Lock Haven University in the process, too.

Toms River South (4-2) at Toms River East (1-5), 6pm

With North being the cream of the crop in Toms River, who is better positioned to knock them off their mantle: South or East? The visiting Indians roll into the township's Eastside featuring a bell cow at running back in [player_tooltip player_id='1524386' first='Jake' last='Henehan']. Henehan has gotten 62% of the work in the backfield, leading to 626 carries and 7 scores on 50 carries. This equates to a 12.5 yards per carry average.

For the host Raiders, little is available statistically on them. We do know, however, that [player_tooltip player_id='1524390' first='Anthony' last='Demarco'] is their quarterback and is a threat to hurt opposing defenses.

Manasquan (3-3) at St. John Vianney (3-3), 6:30pm

Manasuqan wants to run the ball. St. John Vianney wants to run the ball. Expect an old-school slobber knocker, ball control game with very few possessions as these two teams square off on Friday. The visiting Warriors are paced by [player_tooltip player_id='1524395' first='Ace' last='Etienne'] on the ground. The junior leads the team with an 84/683/9 slash line on the ground, while also managing 7 catches for 67 yards and 1 score through the air. Etienne also is a major contributor on defense, also claiming the team lead in tackles with 28 (20 solo), 7 tackles for loss and 2 sacks. Etienne appears to be their heart and soul. When Manasquan goes to the air, expect them to look to 2026 graduate [player_tooltip player_id='1524399' first='JD' last='Teza']'s way. Teza leads the team in all receiving statistics with 15 hauls for 260 yards and 4 touchdowns.

For as well as Etienne runs the ball, sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='691039' first='Abdul' last='Turay'] might run it just slightly better. Akin to Etienne, Turay can claim his stake as his team's heart and soul, having rushed 105 times for 991 yards and 17 touchdowns thus far. This total represents 78% of the Lancers' total carries, 79% of their total rushing yardage, 44% of their total offensive yardage, and 68% of their total offensive touchdowns. Additionally, Turay has busted loose for 215 yards on just 9 receptions. Not to be outdone, Turay is second on the team with 32 tackles and 3 tackles for loss, has recorded a sack, and also scored a kickoff return for a touchdown. Fellow sophmore [player_tooltip player_id='1524400' first='Scott' last='McClaren'] appears to be an emerging playmaker on defense for St. John Vianney. McClaren has made 23 tackles and intercepted a pass so far, complimenting his team-lead in sacks and tackles for loss with 3 and 4 respectively.

Manchester Township (4-2) at Lakewood (3-3), 1pm

Since we have already spoke about Manchester, we will focus on a new crop of players that are set to contribute in this potentially tight matchup. Senior lineman [player_tooltip player_id='1524402' first='Anthony' last='D'Antonio'] is top 3 on the team in tackles with 35 (22 solos) while also making 4 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, and blocking a kick. Joining him in the trenches is [player_tooltip player_id='1524406' first='Jaeshon' last='Smith']. Although he has a mere 11 tackles (4 solos), he has made 1 tackle for loss and produced a team-leading 3 sacks. Lastly, I love a kicker with some attitude. [player_tooltip player_id='1524407' first='Ian' last='Spicer'], their senior kicker, also plays linebacker. At linebacker Spicer has produced 30 tackles (21 solo), 4 tackles for loss, and 1 sack; whereas a kicker, he is 10-11 on PATs and 4-5 in field goals, nailing a 35-yard long.

Rumble, Rahmel, rumble. The Lakewood Piners are led by their offensive Mr. Everything [player_tooltip player_id='1454043' first='Rahmel' last='Anderson']. As a quarterback he has attempted just 14 passes, but Anderson has rushed 152 times thus far through 6 games. Of these carries, the senior leader has amassed 1313 yards for 20 touchdowns. A team clearly committed to the run, juniors [player_tooltip player_id='1524410' first='Jonathan' last='Gonzalez'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1524411' first='Zion' last='Jones'] support Anderson. Gonzalez has slashed 48/317/1 as a rusher while Jones has gone for 58/473/2.
