The Dons quickly worked their way out to midfield with about 10 seconds left.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>QB <strong>C.J. Perea</strong> dropped back to pass and connected with a receiver deep down the field inside the 20-yard line. The receiver was tackled in-bounds at the 14, so the clock would start running as soon as the ball was placed down.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The moment that happened, the referee, sprinting towards the line of scrimmage, frantically signaled for the game clock, which only had a few seconds left, to start. West Las Vegas fell to 3-4 but has the aura of a team nobody wants to play in November. Three of the Dons' four losses have been to Robertson, Dexter and 2A defending champion Texico.
