It was an exceptional performance for Gipson, who exploded for yet another prolific performance in a win against Cambridge. He had some tough yards early, but once again perfectly played the bell-cow role, grinding out yards early to soften the defense before eventually breaking off several explosive plays as the game went on. Gipson is one of the most well-developed backs in the country. He can play the short-yardage back role and drive the pile thanks to his power, but he has enough wiggle and explosiveness to get in space and make big plays. Either way, his blend of speed and power makes him nearly impossible to stop, and he continues to show it.

Domanik has been one of my favorite 2026 LBs in the state this fall, and an offer from Marshall this week firmly introduced him to the recruiting trail. He has the size and power that you want in the middle of the defense and proves fully capable of meeting blockers and the ball carrier with some pop in his pads. Against Cambridge, he got to the football seemingly every snap and would do so in creative ways. Domanik might not get the love that other LBs in the state do, but there's plenty of reason to believe he can be a multi-year contributor at the FBS level, especially since he will be ready to go physically. All he does is arrive at the football with energy and drive people backward.

It was another productive night for [player_tooltip player_id='401475' first='Brayden' last='Rouse'], who has become one of the more popular LB recruits in the state this fall. When I went back and watched the film from this game, it truly opened my eyes to how well he played. As usual, he made the field look small and was a prolific tackler as a result. However, it was his pass-rushing that stood out to me more than usual. He flashed solid bend and kept his chest clean with fiery and effective hands. Rouse had 2.5 sacks while playing all over the field. He fed off the energy and played better and better as the game went on.

[player_tooltip player_id='667510' first='Zayd' last='Rogan'] to Wofford is one of the biggest steals in the class thus far. Rogan might not instantly catch the eyes with his height and weight, but his speed and explosiveness make up for it. Rogan had an INT on the night, but his violent downhill pursuit is what stood out to me. He came downhill and made several physical plays on receivers while also laying a big hit on the QB on a blitz. Despite the size, Rogan has the speed needed to stay in phase with some of the fastest receivers on the field, and he also has a physical edge to fully compensate. I expect Rogan to contribute early and often at Wofford.

Both can be considered undersized, but they made play after play early in the game on 3rd and 4th down. Both play with plenty of energy, violence, and work extremely hard to fight off blocks. They are a nuisance week in and week out and were frequently the first hats through the line for Kell, setting the tone early.

I was very excited to watch Craig Dandridge coming into tonight. He is one of the breakout players in the state this fall and has been one of my favorite discoveries of the season. I thought he was a clear FBS WR prospect coming into this game with P4 upside, and he did nothing to prove that wrong with his performance. He drew a tough matchup against a future P4 corner, but he competed physically all night and had enough bounce in his releases to create some separation at the top of his routes and find the middle of the field to soak in some receptions. He flashed some playmaking ability with the ball in his hand as a returner too. He got banged up earlier in the game, but he hung around on both sides of the ball and was able to make some plays, even if there was plenty of attention on him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1155912' first='Tyler' last='Blalock'] is a quiet, yet valuable playmaker for Cambridge. He is stout and brings his legs at contact, allowing him to stay on his feet and drive piles when needed. His playmaking in space as a receiver is what stood out to me. He is super explosive, allowing him to jump away from tacklers and then use his speed to pierce the second level. When more attention is on the receivers on the outside, Blalock gets plenty of opportunities in the flats, and he is making the most of it this year.

Josh Oblen was somebody I saw this spring at Cambridge that caught my eye as an athlete. With more attention designated to his teammates, Oblen turned into the go-to guy against Kell and made the most of his opportunity. I wrote "steady" in my notes when watching him play, frequently making plays working back to the QB and using his stout frame to shield the catch point. He then made a huge catch on 4th down, winning over the top while having to adjust his body in the air. Oblen's performance against Kell should give him a confidence boost, and it is a testament to the WR depth Cambridge has.

I hope some college coaches get to watch Weston Taylor throw in the playoffs. He has a live arm and can easily attack tight windows over the middle of the field, and he does it with plenty of physical upside left in the tank. It took him a little to get in a groove, but Taylor made plays both inside and outside of the pocket towards the end of the 4th quarter. He can consistently push the ball downfield with his arm, and there is reason to believe he can add even more zip on the ball. Taylor is easily an FCS-caliber QB.
