Recruiting Report- October's Recent Offers

We have seen a ton of offers flying in across the state- today we are looking at some of the prospects that have seen their recruitment rise this month!    [player_tooltip player_id='1188910' first='Cannon' last='Pigg']<a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/cannon-pigg/"></a> is a really talented tight end who has consistently been a reliable target and blocker in Mars Hill Bible's offense the last few seasons. Pigg is really well-rounded TE who has great size and plays with a lot of speed and toughness. In the run game, Pigg is an excellent blocker who explodes off the snap and opens lanes for the ball carrier at the line of scrimmage and upfield. As a pass catcher, Pigg uses his size and physicality to bully smaller defensive backs. Frequently on tape, he shows his ability to high-point the ball and come away with impressive catches- it doesn't matter how covered he is, he finds a way to come down with the pass and thrives after the catch as well. Pigg has been a reliable playmaker for Mars Hill Bible since his freshman year and has done more of the same this fall- he's a tough-to-guard TE who makes his impact felt every week, which is why plenty of schools have sent offers his way. Just this last week, however, Pigg picked up an offer from Wake Forest! With how well he's played this season, he should definitely see more attention heading his way soon, he's a talented prospect who's having a heck of a senior year!     [player_tooltip player_id='1537323' first='Donivan' last='Moore'] is an extremely talented defensive lineman out of Hueytown that has broken out this season. Moore, a sophomore, has been unstoppable this fall- consistently wrecking games and providing great play upfront for his defense all season long. At 6'4 280, Moore is massive and does a great job using his size, he consistently bullies smaller offensive linemen into the backfield to generate pressure and make tackles for loss. It's really impressive seeing how easy it is for Moore to shed off blockers. He has a ton of strength and power he uses to move whoever is in front of him but as an underclassman already has an advanced set of rush moves to get to the quarterback as well. It's been easy to see his impact on Hueytown's defense, so far this year Moore has racked up 36 total tackles (8 solo, 4 for loss) and 2 sacks this fall. With how well he's played and produced, Moore has seen quite a bit of collegiate attention head his way. Within the last week, Moore has picked up some high-level offers from the likes of Alabama, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, and plenty of others. Be sure to keep watch of him this year and moving forward, he's a talented prospect with plenty of potential!     [player_tooltip player_id='1537331' first='Brycen' last='Dowdell'] is a talented defensive back out of James Clemens who has added a ton of juice to his team's secondary this season. Dowdell has made a ton of plays this season that have helped open his recruitment up, he's been a huge asset in coverage and provided great run support all season long. Dowdell is really athletic- he has great size, speed, and hands that he uses to fly around the field and break up passes. It's really impressive seeing how physical of a player Dowdell is as well, he isn't afraid of dishing out hits to the ball carrier and does a great job wrapping up. It's been easy to see these skills this season, Dowdell has recorded 31 total tackles (20 solo, one for loss), one interception, and one pass breakup this fall. This past week, ETSU took notice of this kind of production/talent and sent an offer his way! It's been really exciting following Dowdell this year, he's a talented senior DB with a ton to prove, be sure to watch out for him the rest of this season!     [player_tooltip player_id='1006484' first='Cameron' last='Phinizee'] has been an unbelievable running back for Russellville's offense since he first got on campus a few years back and not much has changed in his junior season this fall. Phinizee has been one of the state's top rushers every week this season- he plays with a rare combination of size, speed, vision, and elusiveness that help him make countless plays for Russellville's ground game. Phinizee is extremely hard to stop with the ball in his hands, he can run over nearly anyone in the open field, has a great stiff arm, and consistently requires multiple tacklers to bring him down. Phinizee, per usual, has been hard to miss this season- he currently is one of the rushers in the state with 177 carries for 1981 yards and 24 touchdowns. With how well he's played this year and seasons prior, it's only fitting to see offers heading his way; this past week Phinizee announced he had picked up an well-deserved offer from Yale! It's going to be exciting to see Phinizee continue to develop and pick up more offers down the road, be sure to watch him the rest of this fall, he's a special player!
