GHSA has implemented a Power Ranking system this season to Seed the playoffs in Class AAA-A. To effectively calculate the ranking all schools in all Classes have to be assigned a power ranking based on a "complicated" formula.

Below are my Predictions for the 5 games ranked highest on combined Power Rankings for Week 12. Current Power ranking is in parentheses.

Cambridge (0.705) at Blessed Trinity (0.730)

The #2 Blessed Trinity Titans (7-1) host the #11 Cambridge Bears (8-1) in the Region Title game in 6-4A.

The Titans have been outstanding on the defensive side of the ball allowing only 90 points on the season. They have an impressive 58 TFL with 21 sacks as a team. Leading the way is 5-Star sophomore DE David "DJ" Jacobs who has 18 TFL and 5 sacks.

Cambridge was 8-0 before being upset last week at home by Kell 28-14. A win on Friday would give the Bears a Region Title but a loss would drop them to a 3 seed. They have scored over 31 points a game in every game leading up to last weeks loss. Senior QB Weston Taylor has had an outstanding season passing for over 2000 yards and 25 total TDs.

Great offense vs Great defense but I have to give the edge to the Titans at home.

Blessed Trinity by 15

2. #5 Roswell (0.673) at #1 Milton (0.761)

A top 5 matchup for the Region 7-5A Crown.

The Roswell Hornets are 8-1 with their only loss coming to 6A powerhouse Buford. They won a 48-45 barnburner last Friday over #7 Gainesville to set up the showdown with Milton for the Region Title. The junior RB combo of [player_tooltip player_id='1576165' first='Trey' last='Smith'] and Nick Peal have combined for 1100 yards and 29 TDs on the ground.

Milton is 9-0 and the overall #1 ranked team in the State. Their signature win was a 13-10 win over a Buford team that beat Roswell 52-17 earlier this Season. The Eagles are outscoring their opponents by an average of 41-10 and are loaded with 4 and 5 star recruits on both sides of the ball. Miami QB commit [player_tooltip player_id='338659' first='Luke' last='Nickel'] has passed for over 2000 yards on the season with 22 TDs to just 6 INTs.

Milton will be hard to beat, especially at home.

Milton by 19

3. #2 Carrollton (0.707) at #5 Douglas County (0.706)

The 9-0 Carrollton Trojans travel to 8-1 Douglas County for a Top 5 battle for the Region 2-6A Title.

The Trojans have not had a team come within 20 points of them since a opening season 24-14 win at Woodward Academy. Prolific offense, scoring over 47 points a game led by 5-Star USC QB commit Julian "JuJu" Lewis. The talented senior has passed for over 2200 yards and has thrown TD passes to 11 different receivers.

The Tigers only blemish on their schedule is a 31-14 loss to 6A powerhouse Buford. They are led by junior dual threat QB DJ Bourdeaux who has 2200 combined yards with 17 total TDs and junior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1201792' first='Zamarcus' last='Lindley'] with 1052 yards on the ground. If the game is close the Tigers may have the advantage as they have played a couple of tight games in Region play. They had a 7 point win over Langston Hughes and a 12 point game with Westlake.

This will be the toughest test for the Trojans this year. Douglas Co has the home field advantage but the Trojans are rolling right now.

Carrollton by 7

4. #9 Valdosta (0.693) at #4 Lowndes (0.711)

Region 1-6A is still a little murky and depends on the outcome of the Colquitt Co v Richmond Hill game. If Valdosta pulls off the upset on the road they have the tie break over Colquitt and would win the Region Title. Lowndes fans need to cheer hard for Richmond Hill.

The Valdosta Wildcats are 8-1 on the year with their only loss a 35-14 upset by Richmond Hill. Senior dual threat QB [player_tooltip player_id='1305392' first='Todd' last='Robinson'] has had a breakout season. He has close to 2000 total yards with 25 TDs with only 4 INTs in 176 passing attempts. An impressive 115 TFL on defense with senior [player_tooltip player_id='1570115' first='Kobi' last='Brown'] leading the way with 14.5.

Lowndes (8-1) have been dominate in all games except for the 38-35 loss at Colquitt County. Sophomore QB [player_tooltip player_id='481378' first='Jayce' last='Johnson'] has been a good game manager for the Vikings. Senior RB [player_tooltip player_id='1552082' first='Marvis' last='Parrish'] has been a beast. He is averaging over 9 yards a carry with 15 TDs on the ground.

The Valdosta Area will be rocking this Friday when these two meet in a meaningful game. The Wildcats may be playing with a little extra motivation knowing they could win the Title with a victory. Lowndes gets the nod for the home field.

Lowndes wins by 3

5. Toombs County (0.662) at Savannah Christian (0.708)

This game has huge implications in the Public/Private playoff brackets. If Toombs wins they will probably capture the overall #1 seed in the postseason. If they lose they will Fall to at least the 6th overall seed. Savannah Christian is projected as the overall #1 seed in the Private bracket with a win.

Toombs Co is 7-0 and still have a makeup game next week vs Swainsboro that will factor into the rankings. The Bulldogs are averaging over 40 ppg and have a signature win over 5A Rome on the road. The senior backfield combo of QB [player_tooltip player_id='1198739' first='TJ' last='Stanley'] and RB Dabvn Wadley have combined for 1900 yards and 25 TDs.

Savannah Christian (8-0) has been dominating on the defensive side of the ball. They have only allowed 66 total points and have only played 1 game within 21 points, a 28-7 win over a ranked Fellowship Christian team on the road. The defense is led by senior Jaden Miles with 58 TT and senior [player_tooltip player_id='321478' first='Elijah' last='Griffin'] who has 6 sacks with 19 TFL.

Toombs Co is not going to be intimidated, as they showed earlier this season at Rome. The Savannah Christian defense is going to be hard to score on, especially at home.

Savannah Christian by 10
