Oxford is a team that I've been wanting to watch for a long time. Especially this year, since Oxford is having the best season I've personally seen from them. I also knew a few players from this team going into this game, but I by no means had this team scouted. Now, I know of several other great Oxford players. Below, I share my evaluations of six Oxford players.

I've always liked Jack's tape, but this was my first time watching in person. On tape, Jack is a pure playmaker. He's able to get outside of the pocket and throw off-schedule as good as anyone. Jack has also shown a great ability to get the ball out quickly during play action.

In person, I saw exactly what I saw on film. On several occasions, Jack avoided pressure and ran outside the pocket, extending the play for quite a while. There were a few plays where I was very impressed by his quickness- he's able to evade pressure as well as anyone I've seen.

Early in the game, I didn't think Jack threw the ball super well. He was inconsistent, inaccurate, and throughout the whole game, he attempted a ton of off-balance throws with poor mechanics.

As the game went on, Jack got better, especially in the fourth quarter. There was a point late in the game where a switch seemed to have flipped. Down two scores, Jack got more passing opportunities and made the most of them. Down 10, Jack thew an incredible pass 25-yards downfield to his running back (first play on his tape). During the game-winning drive, Jack was getting the ball out quick and playing with a ton of confidence. In crunch time, Jack was smarter and more accurate.

Jack is a very good high school quarterback. Excellent playmaking, takes care of the football, and clutch. Unfortunately, his height will deter the vast majority of college programs. My gut says he's an NAIA prospect, but a great one at that.

https://twitter.com/alex_pallone/status/1842377448089882755

Drew is a great all-around player.

His main role is as a kicker/punter. Now, I firmly believe that kicker is the 2nd most important position in High School football (QB is #1). Drew left a substantial impact on this game, making a pair of early-game field goals. His punts were equally great, making sure Adams never got ideal field position.

One of the most valuable players for Oxford and someone who definitely deserves a shot at the next level!

I heard Brayden's name a ton last night. He racked up a ton of tackles, and that's very impressive for a safety. Brayden was simply a rock-solid run defender and made sure Adams didn't get past the second level. As for pass defense, I got little to no information because of Adams' Veer offense. I'd bet that Brayden had more tackles than most linebackers. I watch a lot of very timid DBs, so this is a major compliment!

Dean was the surprise of the day for me. I didn't know Dean prior to this game, but now, I think I'll include him in the next rankings update. Liam, to my knowledge, was the only underclassman starter for Oxford. All in all, I really liked what I saw from Liam. The very first play I watched of his, Liam pancaked the defender. I watched about a drive of him. Liam consistently did well blocking for the run. Always looking for someone to hit, played with good power, and had good agility. Liam needs to polish up his footwork, especially when pass blocking. He also needs to work on staying low.

Liam still has a while until D2's and D3's check out his tape. As long as Liam can have a great offseason, he could quickly develop into a well-deserved lineman at the D3 or D2 level.

Luke was impossible to miss out there. Oxford does a great job of establishing the run and sticking to the run even when it's not working. So, Luke earned a ton of carries.

I liked what I saw from Luke. Adams has an excellent run defense, and Luke was under constant pressure. There were a few times when Luke broke a big play and gained some big yards after contact. When the run was blocked well, Luke followed his blockers and made the most of the play. When the play broke down, Luke did his best to fall forward, but I honestly didn't see great contact balance. Still, Luke is a fringe D2 prospect in my eyes.

I also knew a few players from this team going into this game, but I by no means had this team scouted. Now, I know of several other great Oxford players.
