He continues to develop and looks poised for a breakout year as part of Newberry's “Big Three.”     Tallstrom is a young prospect with a ton of upside. As a 2027 linebacker, he's already one of the top tacklers in the state, putting up big numbers: 93 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss and 3 sacks. He's shown a natural ability to find the ball, and he's quickly becoming a name to watch.     At 5'10”, 200 pounds, Harris may not have the biggest frame, but his tackling production is consistently high. He's a reliable tackler who's been a key player for Island Coast, but college coaches need to start paying more attention to this under-the-radar prospect.     Venice is having a strong season, and a lot of that is thanks to Marsters anchoring the defense. Currently one of the top 10 tacklers in the state, Marsters has 83 total tackles and 4 tackles for loss. His ability to make plays and fly around the field has been crucial for a Venice team with championship aspirations.     Curliss is a physically gifted linebacker with a 6'3” frame. He's been one of the most productive tacklers in the state with 83 total tackles and 24 tackles for loss. His versatility and ability to play in the backfield make him a player that college coaches need to keep on their radar     Stanley has been a force for Bartow all season. He consistently disrupts opposing offenses, showing off his tackling and playmaking ability. His improvements this spring have been evident, and he's shaping up to be a prospect with serious next-level potential.     Peterson has been nothing short of a game-wrecker for Seminole. His mid-season stats highlight his dominance on the defensive line:   • 38 total tackles   • 17 tackles for loss   • 8 sacks   • 5 quarterback hurries   • 2 fumble recoveries   • 2 pass deflections   He's consistently making plays in the backfield and causing problems for opposing offenses.     Brown has been a relentless force for Clearwater, especially in his standout performance against Bartow. He's now poised to become the school's all-time sack leader, a testament to his dominance on the field. His ability to disrupt plays and pressure quarterbacks has put him in the spotlight.     Kelly is another defensive lineman who's been making waves. His physical presence and playmaking ability have been key for ICA, as he continues to disrupt opposing offenses and make an impact on the defensive front.   Midseason stats: 40 tackles - 12.0 sacks - 8.0 TFL     Russell has emerged as one of the top young defensive backs in Polk County. Playing both sides of the ball this season, Russell's versatility and lockdown potential are clear. His athleticism and football IQ have set him up for a promising future as a shutdown defender at the next level. Midseason stats: 28 receptions - 548 yards | 33 total tackles - 2 INT   Don't sleep on teammate [player_tooltip player_id='1230854' first='Darian' last='Kirkland'] who is second in total tackles and first in team sacks.     Williams is second in the state in interceptions with 6 as just a 2027 prospect. His ball-hawking instincts and high football IQ are already turning heads early in his prep career. There's no doubt this young playmaker has a bright future ahead of him.     Debose is a vocal leader on the field, and his energy is contagious. He's impressed in man or zone, showcasing solid technique and coverage skills. With his lengthy frame and two more seasons to develop, Debose is poised to become a standout at the DB position. Keep an eye on him as he continues to refine his game     I'm really impressed with this kid's overall progression since making a move over to VCA. He fits in well with this coaching staff who landed a hidden gem at the DB position and has developed into a D1 defensive back prospect. McKinley also runs track which he uses to his advantage in coverage. Solid frame with some time to add weight for the next level. He's also received some college interest but look out for his name to pop as we near playoff ball.
