While the focus is almost always on the eighth-grade class (the class of 2029), when evaluating prospects at any level, it's never a bad idea to keep an eye toward the future. With the majority of seasons reaching the finish line in Tennessee middle school football, these five class of 2030 prospects below were celebrated for big seasons. Here's a look at some kids that will be leading the way next year on the middle school level.

As only a seventh-grader, Johnson helped lead Oakland Middle School to its second consecutive and fifth Rutherford County Championship since 2019. The PRZ Next Middle School Exposure Camp alumni, showed that the Oakland dynasty is in good hands with the young QB by picking up an Honorable Mention All-Region nod. The talented righty told me he became the first seventh-grade Quarterback in school history to lead Oakland to the the Conference Title with their 22-6 win over Lavergne.

Another 2030 signal caller that led his team to the second of back-to-back Conference Championships was Humphreys County stud, [player_tooltip player_id='1546805' first='Cade' last='Boldin']. Just a seventh-grader, Boldin helped Weaverly Junior High School reach the top of the mountain for the second straight year by defeating East Hickman 44-30 in the title game in early October. The talented righty showed off his dual-threat ability throughout the season and was recognized by coaches confernece-wide by being named the Most Valuable Player. Boldin will return next season as the Wildcats are on the prowl for a third straight MTAC crown.

If you haven't picked up on yet through the writeups of Quarterbacks [player_tooltip player_id='1546805' first='Cade' last='Boldin'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1051781' first='Caleb' last='Johnson'] above, it appears to be the rich continuing to be rich--and only getting richer--when it comes to middle school football in Tennessee. I say that because talented seventh-grade ATH (athlete) [player_tooltip player_id='1546818' first='Isaiah' last='Ligon'] was named an All-County this season, as Richview Middle School won it's fourth consecutive Clarksville-Montgomery County School System championship. The lone 2030 prospect to earn the honor, Ligon will certainly carry the torch as the Cowboys start the drive for five.

Despite bowing out in the Conference Semi-Finals to eventual champion Harris Middle School, [player_tooltip player_id='1307180' first='Macc' last='Chapin'] and Tullahoma Middle School left little doubt in people's minds what the future holds in Coffee County. Chapin was the only 2030 prospect from Tullahoma to be named an All-Conference player, but when you look at his stats from this season and how he impacted the game in all three phases, it's not hard to see why he earned the honor. Offensively, he carried the ball 105 times for 859 yards and a dozen touchdowns. He also added 6 receptions for 127 yards & a pair of Touchdowns. Defensively he notched an interception, 11 tackles, 4 forced fumbles. All in all, he gained 1,130 all-purpose yards and 15 total touchdowns (including a kick return for a TD).

With a dominating eighth-grade class leading the way for Fairview Middle School, the fact that seventh-grader [player_tooltip player_id='1546843' first='Landon' last='Holland'] was named All-Conference is an accomplishment in itself. The class of eighth-graders (class of 2029) were the heart and soul of a Fairview Middle School team out of Williamson County, that just won it's second of back-to-back Tri-County Conference championship. The Falcons went 9-0 this season and their first team defense did not allow a single point all year long. As for Holland, the lone class of 2030 prospect to pick up All-Conference honors on the team, he showed off his ability at several different positions. The consummate athlete, Holland played Wide Receiver, Defensive Back and some Running Back (Wing) this season.
