Paying close attention to all things [player_tooltip player_id='854382' first='Ben' last='Walsh'] this year with hopes to get him elevated on our rankings. I think we are on that trajectory, just a matter of how high can he climb. Walsh came into the season impressing PRZ scouts after tearing up our 7v7 event. Below will be a breakdown of Walsh's tape, as well as input from what I've seen during my live evaluation against Cheltenham.

Can uncork footballs 40+ yards without a major hitch. Measurables should be taken account of, yet shouldn't make or break his recruitment. One of the few QB prospects I'd be willing to take a chance on that don't meet height/weight thresholds. Reads safety positioning well. Reads outside leverage battles well, knows when to hit vertical targets based on whether they are open. A brain that is working on the field, a prospect who isn't reliant on his athleticism, he's reliant on making the correct reads, both throwing the football or when operating zone-reads. Cerebral approach yet has the "big-play" in mind. Can move to run or to throw in sprint-out sets. Fantastic in-rhythm passer, this likely because how much experience he has working this playbook. Can hit seams, hitches, and digs in time. I have to remind myself that Walsh is a junior, he carries himself like a senior both on and off the field in terms of maturity. Walsh is an active camper and Souderton makes it easy to recruit their kids, it's likely Walsh is already on local D3/2s radars as of today.

[player_tooltip player_id='854382' first='Ben' last='Walsh'] tossed three touchdowns in an almost effortless win against Cheltenham, I was present. Much of what you see on tape was verified in person. On time, correct read after correct read, always looking where he should be looking, complete command of the huddle. The Cheltenham game was a breeze for Walsh, was nice seeing him work again. If you have Souderton on schedule, don't put anything past Walsh, he can operate this offense to a tee.

Excited to see Marshall carve out a two-way role for himself at Souderton. It feels like yesterday, having Marshall on our WL waiting for him to put tape on Hudl. He's got junior tape, tape that had him place as a top 40 senior DB in Pennsylvania. Despite the defensive back designation, a label he earned after tape study from last Fall, I can't help but figure that Marshall has raised his stock as a back.

Marshall could have had at least two-three interceptions against Cheltenham, his play at DB here was impressive, its been impressive all year if I'm being honest. Aligned at inside slot, is a prospect who is fully capable of setting the edge and helping out in run support. Great R&R skills to plays headed to the flat, whether that be swings or screens in front of him. Can double as a safety in single-high sets. Marshall's yet another smart kid developed by Souderton. Great finisher, great tackling technique. Can run with guys laterally and vertically. Marshall has a future as a DB, yet he's taken a step up after continuous reps as the lead back in the offense. Understanding gap scheme, understanding the flow of an OL unit, these back reps likely help Marshall diagnose at a high level when aligned at SCB/OLB/S. Glad to see him thriving.

Excited to get junior back Mujana Sudi off our Watchlist and onto our 2026 rankings. We can't do that without some kind of tape, however. Sudi still has nothing to offer on Hudl as of time of writing, this being a shame since I got a glimpse at the type of back Sudi can be against Cheltenham.

Sudi took an off-tackle run through the Cheltenham defense for a 30-yard score, practically going in untouched. I want to expand on the kid and write a credible evaluation down the line, just need more tape to do so. I have a feeling that will come in time. It's worth mentioning that Sudi is a capable DB who saw reps at corner against Cheltenham.

[player_tooltip player_id='1282840' first='Caleb' last='Moyer'] is an interesting underclassman, one who performed well against Cheltenham two weeks ago. Moyer caught one of [player_tooltip player_id='854382' first='Ben' last='Walsh']'s many touchdown passes, this coming out of a pre-snap motion that had Moyer running a wheel. There is much more to be had than what was seen against Cheltenham. Sadly, Moyer doesn't have any tape on Hudl.

Coaches rave about Moyer's potential. Souderton coaches rave about how far he's come along despite being new to the game of football. Moyer provides a versatile build, he looks like a back/backer type of two-way player, yet proves he can work in space and potentially catch passes for Walsh. Moyer looks like he could serve a H-back/Sniffer role and contribute as a blocker up front, he might even be able to provide DB reps.

Smeltz only caught a handful of balls after live eval, yet one hitch was caught for a score, Smeltz looking good after the catch here.

Taking a peek into Smletz's mid-season tape, I'm happy to learn that Smeltz has validated his pre-season ranking. 500+ yards in five games, this on 34 receptions. Smeltz has three interceptions to his name to boot, along with three touchdowns scores. Measurables are up since we last checked in too, now standing at 5'11, weighing in at 160 pounds, a good ten pounds heavier than last update. Accelerates under the football well, a comfortable wideout in terms of tracking the football. Can be a three-level weapon for Souderton. Smeltz could rack up 500+ yards in every which way. Smeltz is tough enough to catch slants, hitches, curls, and stick routes and fight for extra yardage, he's enough of a vertical threat to beat you with the long ball too. An aware and locked-in individual on the field. Smeltz needs to continue working at this pace if he wants to garner real attention from PSACs out East. I'd bet he's already on PSAC radars for future consideration, more production on tape as well as continued growth on and off the field will help turn consideration into opportunity.

[player_tooltip player_id='855268' first='Chase' last='Johnson'] is grouped in with the pass-catcher group because he's a legitimate TE prospect, yet you can find him stationed at OLB for Souderton as well. Johnson is a senior who can produce if allowed to do so. Johnson can serve as the Y in the Souderton offense, he's a crucial component to the blocking scheme. Watching 32 work in person against Cheltenham, he proved to be a serviceable blocker beside tackles. Working tight splits while on the LOS, Johnson is a valued blocker who can leak and catch balls when given the opportunity.

Johnson can also set the edge in run support from his 3-4 OLB role. Clearly a multi-faceted football player who needs to get his Hudl in order if he wants to get real attention from college coaches. I've seen Johnson at camps, so he's going to get eyes in the off-season. Substantial tape detailing his impact blocks, his route running capabilities, as well as his capabilities as a run stopper is a must sooner rather than later.

This all coming in three quarters, since I left the venue a bit early.

Talking District One football, I'm hardly ever surprised to hear Adorno's name among the weekly top performers. Yes, he's not an offensive player racking up score after score, yet Adorno is likely as valuable a prospect to Souderton as anyone on roster. The man in the middle, Adorno's presence was felt against a Cheltenham team that struggled to move the ball between the tackles. Adorno has a mid-season tape up on Hudl, so I can catch up on all things the senior backer after watching him live two weekends ago. College coaches recruiting him can do the same. If a run against Souderton is getting stuffed between the hash marks, Adorno is likely plugging said hole.

Really like the game [player_tooltip player_id='1281521' first='Noah' last='Porter'] had against Cheltenham. More games like this, more quality reps on tape, the easier it will be to help get eyes on him. Souderton likes to deploy three down linemen, with four backers serving as the shell to the front seven. Adorno is part of this shell, as is [player_tooltip player_id='855268' first='Chase' last='Johnson']. Both Johnson and Adorno weigh close to 200 pounds. You can find [player_tooltip player_id='1281521' first='Noah' last='Porter'], a good 165 pounds soaking wet, deployed in the same group.

Porter is the versatile backer who can align in various sets to provide both reps in run support and pass coverage. Align Porter at the LOS, he's tough enough to shed and plug runs beside defensive linemen. Station Porter in the slot against trips or quads looks, he can hold his own in terms of flat/curl zone assignments. A smart football player who has earned the trust of the coaching staff. A player who plays a bit beyond what his measurables entail. Porter caused a fumble against Cheltenham, he also recovered a fumble within the same play. Porter doesn't have a mid-season tape up just yet, yet I decided to take a peek into his game against Bensalem, this being posted just two days ago. Porter got a chance to showcase his blocking skills up-front in this one, adding to the lengthy list of tools in his toolbox. Mixed in with multiple run stops was Porter doing all he could to serve as an impact blocker along the edge of the T. Must be one fun player to coach.

Hampton has a Division One grade, an FBS ceiling if I'm being honest. His current ranking reflects that, the tape he is spitting out only validates it.

Hampton was a step faster than every player on the field. The junior prospect was unstoppable. Too hard to block, Hampton would easily block an extra point. Too fast at corner, Hampton would easily stay with solid Cheltenham wideouts when tested deep outside the numbers. PBUs near the LOS. Hampton trusts his athleticism so much that he can stay near the LOS for an extended period of time, having no problem helping out in support of the run. Phenomenal tackler. Hampton would intercept a pass for a score, under-cutting an out-route easily. Hampton would see a loose ball tumble in front of him, resulting in a scoop and score. Hampton would easily lose Cheltenham DBs when aligned at wideout, practically separating at will. FCS programs need to key-in on Hampton immediately, if they haven't done so already.

Cheltenham proved to be a chance for Hampton to prove his defensive prowess. Hampton's Bensalem tape proves his offensive prowess. Hampton skied for a 50/50 ball against Bensalem, a ball he had no business catching, yet he came away with it for a score. Hampton also scored on a jet-sweep inside the 20. Hampton is proving a lot of people right. Expect a big jump in rankings too.
