<p>We are now at the half way mark of the regular season in the state of Illinois. Time to look at some of the prospects that are shining as we reviewed their mid-season film in <strong>Mid-Season Monsters: Pass Catchers</strong>!</p>

<p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='278886' first='Quinn' last='Morris'] (Naperville North – 2025)</strong></p>

<p>Morris is a super athletic wide out that has 322 yards on 15 catches for 6 scores through his first three games of the season. Flies down the field. He is excellent at adjusting to the long ball and using his athleticism scoring in the redzone. High points passes for scores. Vertical threat running the go route catching passes and making athletic catches.</p>

<p><strong>WR Matthew Osterman (DePaul Prep – 2026)</strong></p>

<p>Osterman is a redzone target with his size at 6'0” 175 pounds and ability to box out. He has smooth route running while being able to get downfield for deep passes. Good hands with a lot of upside!</p>

<p><strong>WR Braden Peevy (DePaul Prep – 2025)</strong></p>

<p>Through the first four weeks Peevy has reeled in 483 yards on 25 receptions including 5 touchdowns. Smooth route runner that has long distance speed. Good frame at 6'0” 172 pounds with the ability to high point balls as well as adjusting to them in the air. Really good on skinny post routes. Like his overall ability to get in and out of cuts. Willing blocker downfield. YAC machine!</p>

<p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='1564091' first='Rmoni' last='Beals'] (Zion Benton – 2025)</strong></p>

<p>Smooth 6'1” 170 pound route runner that sets up the defensive back. Glides past DB's on deep routes for scores on go routes. Explosive after the catch ability that can take a short slant to the house. Wins in contested situations down the field. They love to send him deep and let him run under it for a score.</p>

<p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='1585172' first='Raymond' last='Liggins'] (Simeon – 2025)</strong></p>

<p>Liggins is a 5'10” 155 pound speed burner at the wide receiver position. He catches passes on the move and flies past defenders. Can take gadget plays for long gains. Crisp route runner. Absolute home run hitter! </p>

<p><strong>WR Bryce Carlson (Grayslake Central – 2026)</strong></p>

<p>Carlson is a 6'0” 170 pound junior wide receiver that makes the catch and can take a hit holding on to the ball. Solid blocker out of the slot. Crisp route runner on short routes getting in and out of cuts.</p>

<p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='487556' first='Wyatt' last='Perry'] (Amundsen – 2026)</strong></p>

<p>Perry is a wide receiver that is a solid redzone threat that everything sticks to his hands. Works well out of the slot winning off the line. Shifty with the ball in his hands. In his first four games he has 19 catches for 225 yards and a pair of scores.</p>

<p><strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id='1564831' first='Conlon' last='Kane'] (Loyola – 2025)</strong></p>

<p>Good size for Kane at 6'4” 205 pounds. Fights through physical corners. Adjusts to ball in the air. Makes contested catches with good body control. Crisp route runner. </p>

<p><strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id='1585186' first='Simon' last='Kodosky'] (York – 2026)</strong></p>

<p>This 6'2” 175 pound pass catcher is a big bodied jumbo wide receiver that lines up in the slot so we can see him being a tight end the next level. Smooth route runner that loves the deep ball. Makes monster plays as he regularly catches go routes or takes short passes for long gains with his YAC. Long arms and good hands. Blocks well downfield. Adjusts well to his quarterback when he goes in scramble mode. Through four weeks he had 11 catches for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns.</p>

<p><strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id='1144841' first='Jack' last='Berger'] (Deerfield – 2025)</strong></p>

<p>The 6'4” 235 pound tight end had a massive outing vs Fremd going for 12 catches for 132 yards and 2 scores. He has great size and the ability to get vertical. Runs well in space. Willing blocker. Catches passes with his hands out in front of his body. </p>
