East Georgia Film Study: Underclassmen to Know

Listed at 6'2.5 250, the Aquinas DE is following up a stellar freshman season with an equally impressive sophomore campaign. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After putting up 138 TT with 36 TFL last Fall he earned an early offer from Georgia Southern. He is on track to top that this season. He is averaging 16.5 TT per game in 4 reported games with 10 TFL. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Strong kid that creates good leverage and gets off the LOS quickly. A solid tackler that out muscles blockers at this level. Physical kid that keeps his legs moving and creates yards after contact. He is explosive off the snap and has a good football IQ, recognizing where the play is going quickly. In the passing department he is 1 for 1 and has touched the ball 22 times from the RB position, averaging close to 8.5 yards per touch. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph {"placeholder":"Add evaluation here...","className":"text-gray-700"} --> <p class="text-gray-700">Dynamic multisport athlete that has natural speed and quickness. He doesn't mind running through defenders but has that twitch if he decides to break around the edge. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Thomson is loaded with athletes and Brinson will get his turn in the future to be a every down starter, probably on both sides of the ball. He averages over 9 yards per carry on his rushing attempts. He had a season high 396 total yards with 4 total TDs vs a good West Laurens team in September. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The 4-sport standout has a quick release and good arm strength and can make throws to all parts of the field.
