Division 2 Teams to Watch in the Playoffs

I wanted to talk about several teams that I will be watching closely in the first round. I believe all of them have interesting matchups and very good noteworthy players.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Dexter | Current Record: 9-0 </strong>| <strong>Playoff Matchup: vs South Lyon East (6-3)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Dexter</strong> had a great regular season, finishing with an unbeaten record. They had two key wins against<strong> Franklin </strong>and rival <strong>Chelsea</strong>. <strong>Dexter </strong>has several key players. At quarterback, <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='602311' first='Grant' last='Goodrich']</strong> has been playing high level football. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='566881' first='Nathan' last='Gersh']</strong> is one of the best linebackers in the state of Michigan. One of their best regular seasons ever and the talent to win a state title will make <strong>Dexter </strong>a team to watch in the playoffs. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>South Lyon East | Current Record: 6-3 | Playoff Matchup: @ Dexter (9-0)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>South Lyon East</strong> is a having a good season and will have a great challenge as they travel to play an undefeated <strong>Dexter</strong> team. <strong>Phineas Long </strong>is a talented defensive end who can rush with power and get off blocks well. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1535613' first='Dominic' last='Giovannini']</strong> is a good quarterback for <strong>South Lyon East</strong> who can throw very accurately down the field. With the talent on this <strong>South Lyon East </strong>team I would not be surprised if they make this game interesting against <strong>Dexter</strong>. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Roseville | Current Record: 7-2 | Playoff Matchup: vs Grosse Pointe South</strong> <strong>(9-0)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Roseville</strong> has a very good quarterback in <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='602072' first='Jordan' last='Simes']</strong>. Simes makes a lot of pin point accurate throws. I love how comfortable in the pocket he is as well. Roseville will be interesting to watch because they will rematch <strong>Gross Pointe South</strong> in the playoffs, one of the teams that beat them in the regular season. This should be a good game and Simes will give them a great chance to win.<br><br><strong>Orchard Lake St. Mary's | Current Record: 6-3 | Playoff Matchup: vs North Farmington (6-3)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Orchard Lake</strong> is a strong program who has lost only three close games this year. They have great players every year and are always very competitive. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='899556' first='Bryson' last='Williams']</strong> is a tremendous athlete who is a legit game changer. I expect big plays from him in this game and he is a player to watch in the playoffs. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='284008' first='Camari' last='Patterson']</strong> is another really good player for <strong>Orchard Lake</strong> who makes a lot of big hits. I put <strong>Orchard Lake </strong>on this list of teams to watch mostly due to all the players they have that will play at the collegiate level. <br></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Portage Central | Current Record: 6-3 | Playoff Matchup: vs Portage Northern (5-4)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Portage Central</strong> is a consistently good football program that will take on their rival <strong>Portage Northern</strong> in the first round. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1533031' first='Charlie' last='Jilek']</strong> is a player to watch on <strong>Portage Central</strong>. Jilek has very good size and strength. He plays fast and can read plays quickly.
