The best receiving performance from Class 3A this week came from Drew Campbell, who accounted for all of Keokuk's scoring plays against Mount Pleasant. Campbell had 5 catches for 192 yards and 4 touchdowns in the loss. All 4 scores came in the first half for Campbell, as Campbell was finding openings through the seams and was gaining the edge to make the catch every time. Campbell possesses great speed and shows good depth on his routes, which has made him a profound deep threat for Keokuk's offense.

Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1656865' first='Eli' last='Fuller'] has emerged as the leading receiver for Knoxville this season, showcasing the potential to be a reliable target moving forward. In the blowout loss to Creston this week, Fuller finished with 10 catches for 133 yards. Over the course of the season, Fuller has shown great progression on his route-running, and he did a great job against Creston with quick cuts and stops on his routes to get open, proving to be the most effective playmaker on the offense on Friday night. Fuller could see himself earn a spot on the 2027 rankings by the end of the season with how he's been improving.

Triston Marshall headed into week 7 with just 5 catches all season, but he had an impressive night against Mount Vernon on the road on Friday night. Marshall caught just 3 passes for 111 yards and a 95 yard touchdown reception. Coming at the end of the first half, Marshall's touchdown came off a tip from his teammate which flew up in the air, and Marshall sped up to make the catch, in which he was long gone afterward. Marshall's spectacular catch proved to be one of the best highlight-reel plays of the week in Class 3A as the longest catch of the season for Fort Madison.

Wahlert Catholic stayed undefeated with a close road win over West Delaware this week, and Luke Welbes, who entered this week with just 2 catches all season, emerged as the team's top receiver in the win, finishing with 6 catches for 87 yards and a touchdown. Welbes proved to be solid as a route-runner, translating his footwork and quick movement in the secondary well into the passing game, which made him a reliable target on Friday night and gave the team an edge in the passing game. Welbes could continue to see reps in the passing game toward the latter part of the year after this performance.

For all the success [player_tooltip player_id='1361104' first='Alex' last='Kerr'] has had in the secondary, he's been a ridiculously effective deep threat for Clear Lake's passing game this season. His performance against Hampton-Dumont-CAL was more modest in comparison to the numbers he's had this year, but he still finished with 4 catches for 57 yards and 2 touchdowns, increasing his total to 8 receiving touchdowns for the year. Kerr wasn't as explosive, but he was reliable, showing off smooth route-running and was able to hit pay-dirt twice en route to a shutout win. Kerr only has 11 catches this season, but has a whopping 443 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns on those catches, and Kerr has solidified himself as a scary dual-threat for Clear Lake.

[player_tooltip player_id='245592' first='Jozef' last='Reisz'] continues to build himself as one of the best TEs in Iowa as he played a significant role in Harlan Community's upset win at home over Nevada this week. Reisz finished with 134 yards on 7 catches and a touchdown in the win. Reisz has been a complete mismatch against DBs lining up wide, and he uses his size and athleticism to his full advantage. He did so against Nevada, as the secondary struggled to contain him, allowing Reisz to nab several chunk gains in the passing game. Reisz has averaged 20.1 yards per catch on 33 receptions this season, and he remains one of the best unsigned players out of Iowa for the class of 2025 remaining so far.

Senior Chris Wrage has been an imposing threat in the passing game, and despite the loss this week to Center Point-Urbana, Wrage enjoyed the best game of his season, finishing with 104 yards on 4 catches and a touchdown. Wrage proved to be great as a seam option sent over the middle, but what impresses me the most is his efforts after the catch, spinning around defenders and driving ahead for extra yardage. Wrage's size and reliability in the passing game could make him an underrated prospect that could warrant several looks by the end of the season.
