Alabama Freshmen RBs Making Immediate Impact

Which freshmen RBs in Alabama are kicking off their HS career in a productive way? Here are several that catch my eye.    It's been a fantastic start to the HS career of [player_tooltip player_id='1035273' first='Jacobi' last='Harris'], rushing for just under 800 yards on the year so far. Harris, now listed at 5'10 165, is a dangerous playmaker in space who is schemed up opportunities to dance in the open field. He is dangerous on outside zone/reverse type plays, where he can out-angle defenses and stay away from the big bodies. He is growing physically and will need to add more play strength to handle his own between the tackles, but he plays with brilliant balance and stays on his feet by dancing around tacklers. He has good enough vision to locate cut-back lanes, and he has the change of direction needed to take advantage of them. Harris is on pace for a very productive HS career and should reap the rewards on the recruiting trail.     [player_tooltip player_id='1624742' first='Urijah' last='Casey'] is a scrappy runner with some solid developmental traits. He is on the smaller side at 5'8 170, but still has plenty of room to add more weight and should add an extra gear as an athlete. I'm really impressed with his mechanics at this stage. He keeps his shoulders squared to the running lane and is fast on his feet, giving him access to cut-back opportunities. He takes the yards available thanks to his patience, but he absolutely has the footwork to maneuver around defenders and create his own yards when needed. Added play strength will help him impose his will more, but he doesn't shy away from contact at this stage regardless.     Chris Davis is one of the more notable 2028 prospects in the state with several SEC and P4 offers under his belt already. He has taken advantage of the reps he's gotten this fall and shows plenty of room for growth. Davis is vastly more developed physically than most 2028 RBs in the country. He is rock solid at 5'10 180, already imposing his will by dropping his shoulder and staying on his feet through contact. There is still room to add good weight, so this area of his game will continue to grow. He has the footwork and athleticism to stop his big body on a dime and change directions. His selling point will be as a north/south runner, but he is doing enough outside the tackles as a rusher and a receiver to draw intrigue as an every-down caliber RB.     [player_tooltip player_id='1624811' first='Elliot' last='Harris'] is an impressive athlete who is a bit positionless at this point, but is contributing as a rusher at the start of his HS career. Harris is a cut, athletic 5'9 160 with an extra gear. His top speed passes the eye test on tape, as he is simply way too fast for his level of competition and frequently outruns defenders. He is extremely explosive as well, allowing him to stop on a dime and take advantage of cut-back lanes. Harris is a super intriguing player in space and should generate college buzz down the line as a result.     Keilan Green is a tough runner with plenty of potential. I couldn't find official measurements, but he is a long strider with a thin frame, giving him plenty of room to grow. He is an explosive play waiting to happen thanks to his ability to escape contact and get outside, where he uses his long strides to glide down the field and skate around defenders. Once he adds a little more twitch, he will be a prime breakout candidate who has a chance to pick up some recruiting attention down the line.
