It's the month of October and that means it's time for a prospect ranking update! Throughout this month, we have been updating each class ranking and following up those updates with in-depth breakdowns on a ton of prospects in each class. Two weeks ago, we kicked things off with the 2028 Watchlist. Last week, we continued our updates with the 2027 class, featuring the Top 75 Sophomores In Oklahoma. This week, it's time to take a look at the state's 2026 class. The latest ranking update now features the Top 150 Juniors In Oklahoma. In this breakdown, we're taking a look at the athlete position. These five prospects are the top five "athletes" in the latest update. All five have one thing in common and that's the ability to play multiple positions at a very high level.

Every season, there are players that we feel are being completely overlooked from a recruiting standpoint and it's absolutely ridiculous. Vian standout [player_tooltip player_id='424595' first='Masyn' last='Wright'] is one of those players. Simply put, he's definitely in the conversation for being the best player in Oklahoma this season so we'll start there. Offensively, Wright is the definition of a big play guy. He's had multiple games where the majority of his touches go for scores. Think about that statement for a moment. The majority of the time he carries or catches the ball, he ends up in the end zone. And we're not talking about a goal line specialist either. Defensively, Wright is a versatile defender that seems to be just as comfortable as a safety or moving closer to the line of scrimmage at linebacker. He's one of the best players in Oklahoma and should be recruited as such.

Muldrow junior [player_tooltip player_id='1161908' first='Teaguen' last='Collins'] was another player that hopped our radar following his sophomore season. Despite a struggle in the win-loss column, Collins appeared to be a guy that was ready to take the next step coming into this season. He impressed us when we watched him in person back in the spring at a team camp. And this fall, there's no other way to say it, he's been outstanding for the Bulldogs in just about every single way. Another thing to think about when it comes to Collins as a prospect is the DNA. He comes from an incredibly athletic family so the genetics is a major plus. Earlier this fall, Collins picked up his first major offer and that train should continue to roll as we close out this year and move into the offseason. What's crazy is he might still be flying under the radar but that won't last long.

It felt like only a matter of time before Bixby legacy [player_tooltip player_id='415161' first='Braeden' last='Presley'] enjoyed that breakout season and it appears that it's finally here. Presley has been a name to know after his older brothers both shined for Bixby before signing with D1 programs. Now, Braeden gets a chance to add to that family legacy and he's taken the ball and ran with it this season. The production that Presley has had this season is incredible. Offensively, he's thrown a touchdown, caught a touchdown and ran for a touchdown. Defensively, he's returned a fumble for another score. Simply put, he finds a way to get into the end zone when the ball is in his hands. Presley is also starting to get more and more comfortable on the defensive side of the ball, specifically in the secondary. It won't be surprising if that's where he ends up as an overall prospect.

Way out in the panhandle of Oklahoma there is another 2026 athlete that is flying under the radar. Hooker standout [player_tooltip player_id='572029' first='Keilan' last='Robinson'] has been a dude for the Bulldogs since his freshman season. Robinson moved to Hooker and was new to 11-man football after coming from a smaller program. It didn't take long for him to get used to the new game. Offensively, defensively and in special teams, Robinson is another player that can have a standout moment on almost every single play. Offensively, we like Robinson at the wide receiver position because he's a very underrated athlete. He's also a standout on the basketball court and it shows with his leaping ability in jump ball situations. Defensively, there's a lot to like in his game there but as of right now, we're starting to lean more to the offensive side of the ball for Robinson as a prospect.

Our final prospect on this breakdown is another guy that has had a strong 2024 campaign in all three phases of the game. McLoud standout [player_tooltip player_id='587295' first='Zaylun' last='Matlock'] has been a guy on our radar for a while now and he's showing why with his overall playmaking ability this season. Matlock has been incredibly productive on the offensive side of the ball. He's leading the team in all three receiving categories and he's also been productive in the run game. Matlock turns around and plays defense, where he's near the top of the list in terms of tackles this season and is also up there in pass break ups. And finally, Matlock returned a kick for a score earlier this year so he's another player that brings so much to the table because whenever he's on the field, opponents have to worry about where he is and how he'll impact the game.
