Wyatt Hatfield is a player who has had a strong season so far and continued to impress this past week, leading Conner to a hard-fought victory over Dixie Heights. The senior quarterback did most of his damage as a ball carrier, running the ball 33 times for 241 yards and three touchdowns. He showed the ability to tuck the ball then use his explosive speed and elusiveness in the open field to break away on long runs. As a passer, Hatfield completed 6/8 passes for 57 yards and a touchdown. Wyatt doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to continue to keep an eye on this season.

Quin Summers was another quarterback who caught my attention this past week. He led Crittenden County to a dominant victory over Ohio County, completing 13/16 passes for 253 yards and five touchdowns. Summers has a strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. He also puts a nice amount of touch on his passes, putting the ball where only his intended receiver can catch it. Quinn doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch over the next couple seasons.

Despite Simon Kenton's loss to Great Crossing this past Friday, wide receiver [player_tooltip player_id='1200571' first='Tysin' last='Weaver'] continued to stand out. Weaver finished the game with 10 receptions for 224 yards and two touchdowns. Tysin lines up in the slot where he is able to use his speed to blow by opposing defensive backs in the deep passing game. He is also a skilled route runner, using smooth breaks in his routes to create separation. Weaver doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player for college coaches to keep an eye on as he continues to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id='331744' first='Max' last='Pelfrey'] has has a strong start to his senior season and continued to impress this past week, leading Hazard to a blowout win over Paintsville. Pelfrey completed 14/19 passes for 241 yards and four touchdowns. Max showed an impressive ability to escape pressure while keeping his eyes down the field to make tough throws on the run. He also showed the arm strength to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Pelfrey also led his team in rushing with four carries for 64 yards and a touchdown. Max doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on during his senior year.

Shane Gibson is a player who jumped onto my radar with a very strong performance this past week. He helped lead his team to a win over Harlan, running the ball 24 times for 350 yards and four touchdowns. Shane is a physical, downhill runner who has shown the ability to lower his shoulder and run straight through defenders without losing his balance. He also has the speed to break away from the defense on long runs. Gibson doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to watch over the next couple seasons.

[player_tooltip player_id='373808' first='Kaleb' last='Cole'] is another running back who stood out this past week. He played a huge role in his team's win over Newport, running the ball 18 times for 102 yards and four touchdowns. Cole is a strong runner, showing the ability to keep his legs churning through contact, making it very hard to get him down without multiple defenders. Once he hits the open field, he has shown the speed to run away from the defense and elusiveness to make defenders miss. Kaleb currently holds offers from Mount Saint Joseph and Gannon, and I expect more to come his way as he has the talent to play at the next level.

[player_tooltip player_id='401720' first='Maddox' last='O'Neal'] is a player who has been high on my radar for a while now and continued to impress last Friday. O'Neal lead McCracken County to a win over Henderson County, completing 15/25 passes for 419 yards, seven touchdowns, and one interception. Maddox throws a very impressive deep ball, using his strong arm to lead his receivers down the field and hit them in stride. He has also shown impressive accuracy, showing the ability to fit passes into tight windows where only his intended receiver can catch it. Maddox doesn't currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player who college coaches should be paying close attention to.

My final offensive top performer from Week 8 in the state of Kentucky is [player_tooltip player_id='971569' first='Zakary' last='Anderson']. Anderson led Pulaski County to an impressive victory over North Laurel, completing 11/18 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns. He is an accurate passer, showing the ability to hit receivers out of their breaks where they can make catches on stride. Anderson also has a very strong arm which he uses to stretch the field in the deep passing game. Zak doesn't currently hold any offers but he should be a player to keep an eye on over the next two seasons.
