[player_tooltip player_id='1742088' first='Harlem' last='Brannon'] has been quietly working his way up the Section VI rankings, registering 100 yards from scrimmage in every game this year. Week 1, Brannon scored twice including a game-winning TD with 40 seconds left. Week 2, he put up 106 yards 1 TD and an INT on defense. But last week, although they did not pull off the win, Harlem led the Blue Devils in rushing and receiving with 4 catches 163 total yards and a rushing TD.

After losing their first two games of the season, West Seneca West found themselves in a dog fight with Williamsville North that went into overtime. A game the Warhawks would eventually win. But leading up to the extra time, senior lineman Shaquille Washington made his presence known with 9 tackles, a forced fumble and 3 fumble recoveries.

McKinley has been using a two QB system during their 3-0 start. But junior [player_tooltip player_id='1742268' first='Kalaugn' last='Ford'] has been playing a backup role in the first two games. Last week, during their 50-point explosion against Niagara Wheatfield, Ford was at the helm the entire game. Kalaugn went 6/7 passing for 202 yards and 1 TD. He also added 112 yards on the ground.

Depew averaged 46 points in their first two games with sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1513363' first='Kole' last='Szratter'] at QB. Because they did most of their damage running the ball, not much attention was given to him. But in week 3, the Wildcats played host to class B powerhouse, Lackawanna. Although the Steelers would run away with a commanding win, it was an extremely competitive first half where Kole threw 4 touchdowns. Szratter would end the night with 258 yards passing and add a forced fumble on defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='1649124' first='Aiden' last='Hopwood'] was the main beneficiary to Szratter's breakout game as he caught 6 of his 13 completions for 148 yards and 2 TDs. The tandem on Kole and Hopwood has been gaining a lot of traction and their output together should get better as the season goes along.

[player_tooltip player_id='806782' first='Romeo' last='Kidd'] is not a new name to me. I have been following him all off-season but week 3 was the game that put his ranking on the rise. Kidd is without a doubt Hutch Tech's best overall athlete and he proved that this weekend against North Tonawanda. He led the team in receiving with 5 catches 178 yards and 2 scores as well as being their top defensive performer with 14 tackles and a forced fumble as an OLB.
