Twitter Film Room: Dynamic Week 2 Receivers

Although Sparta fell short against Wayland, Jayden had himself a great game. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Jayden's first highlight (below) shows a phenomenal post route. Jayden has a good release, and quickly gets open over the middle of the field. The coverage was blown, but still a great job taking the top off of the defense and converting the explosive TD. The rest of the tape shows off a few good comeback routes, and a few more deep routes. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Great week for Jayden. 7 catches for over 100 yards is a great day for anyone. Jayden also had a lot of opportunities for YAC. His first highlight shows a deep post TD in which the coverage was blown. His second highlight is the best in my opinion, as it shows an even better route alongside great ball tracking and speed while defenders are closing in. Jamison's third TD came with a good sail route to the right side of the endzone. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>These highlights don't do Jamison's game justice. Having watched him this offseason, I know that he can consistently win 1on1s and make those tough contested catches against good DBs. Right now, I like Blake's vision, and his speed is quite good for the Freshman level. At receiver, Blake had a sensational block in addition to a carry on a jet sweep + screen pass reception. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Blake's foundation is good. Moving forward, he'll need to continue to get in the weight room and work on speed + explosivity. He didn't post his tape on my thread, but I watched him a little against Dexter and wanted to give him a shout. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I was a bit surprised that Jaiden wasn't a starter. Still, he got some time late in the game and had a few targets. From what I remember, Jadien ran a few very good routes and got open but didn't get many targets (1 or 2?). Perhaps he was limited due to injury. I also know that he's a captain for this season, so I'd expect a few great games! </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>That said, I just wanted to say that I'll have my eye on what Jaiden does week-by-week.
