2025 [player_tooltip player_id='1422063' first='Cohen' last='Reip'] (Lakota East) 6'2 215- The senior linebacker for the Thunderhawks leads the GMC in tackles with 26 and 5 TFL's. In week 2 versus Mason he tallied an impressive 17 solo tackles and 4 TFL's. He plays fast and with good pad level. He does a great job of shooting the gap when asked to blitz.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id='284925' first='Maddox' last='Arnold'] (Elder) 6'2 230- The future Toledo Rocket has had a big season thus far with 19 tackles, 2 sacks, and 2.5 TFL's. Arnold lines up at the Mike linebacker. He's a physical presence in the run game. He also has the athleticism to run and cover versus the pass.   2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1141994' first='Reid' last='Baker'] (Anderson) 6'2 205- Baker has 13 total tackles on the season with 2 sacks and 3 TFL's. Baker is an impactful and versatile LB for the Raptors. He can run and hit it the run game. He's also comfortable in coverage and blitzing in the pass game.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id='503170' first='Grant' last='Beerman'] (Lakota West) 6'4 215- The Purdue commit is off to a great start on the season with 24 tackles and a pass defensed. With his legit 4.5 speed, Beerman excels in the open field. He's comfortable playing in off coverage and cover a ton of field in the meantime. He's also stron in his run fits and continues to develop physically.   2026 [player_tooltip player_id='1163066' first='Jakobe' last='Clapper'] (Saint X) 6'2 210- Clapper is another physical style linebacker who loves to run and hit. He plays with heavy hands as he takes on and sheds blockers. He has the ability to break up passes on coverage as well. Clapper has 18 tackles a TFL and a PD. He has offers from the likes of Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id='731023' first='Aaron' last='Dowdell'] (Taft) 6'0 220- Dowdell has offers from more than half of the MAC Conference. Quite simply he's a weapon on defense. He already has 22 tackles, two sacks, 4 TFL's and a forced fumble on the season. He's explosive, he's athletic, and he's violent. His scheme versatility is huge as he can cover, stop the run, and rush the quarterback.   2026 [player_tooltip player_id='812498' first='Max' last='Rhodes'] (Oak Hills) 6'1 220- Rhodes has 17 tackles and 2 sacks and 2.5 TFL's. Rhodes is an an OLB who has good length. He has a great feel for rushing the QB. Max uses his hands well and shows plus athleticism when attacking the edge. He has offers from Toledo and Central Michigan.   2025 [player_tooltip player_id='813651' first='Raishawn' last='Cotton'] (Mount Healthy) 5'11 210- the senior MLB for the Owls has a whopping 38 tackles with 1 sack and 4 TFL's through two weeks. Cotton is an explosive linebacker who who's fast in his read and react. He runs well for his size and plays with good eyes.   2026 [player_tooltip player_id='817943' first='Adam' last='Kirtley'] (Taft)- Kirtley leads the CMAC in tackles with 22. The talented linebacker transferred from Princeton to Taft and has quickly taken up residence in the Senators' starting front seven and he's making the most of it. Kirtley posses good length, fluid hips, and is explosive. He's another backer who can cover and defend the run. Expect him to start picking up a lot of college interest as this season progresses.
