A max-effort linebacker who runs extremely well and closes quickly on the ball-carrier, this under the radar linebacker from East Coweta is lighting up the stat sheet through the first two games of the season. At 6-foot-1 210-pounds, Naquin is a smart linebacker who takes a great angle to the ball-carrier. He reads the play and does a good job of reacting quickly to go find the ball. When he does, he knows how to make a big tackle. He's been all over the field to start this season and it shows in the stat column. This sleeper linebacker has made 32 tackles through his first two games of the season. The Sharpsburg native made 12 tackles in a week one loss to Sandy Creek, but followed that up with a massive 20-tackler performance in a week two win over Newnan. He sure looks like a linebacker who could help a team at the next level.

Brock Tank - Stephens County

A do-it-all player for Stephens County who can make plays all over the field, this under the radar defender can line up all over the defense do to his natural instincts, toughness, and his natural feel for the game. He plays hard, loves to compete, and it shows up both on film, and in the box score. Tankersley made 13 tackles and one TFL in a week one win over Habersham Central then dominating in two with 15 total tackles and one forced fumble in a week two win over Elbert County. He also carried the ball 8 times on offense for 82 yards and one touchdown. He's consistently one of the best players on the field and is bound for a gigantic senior season this fall.

Cooper Born

We've written about Born as a sleeper linebacker to know not only up in the North Georgia mountains, but across the Peach State in the 2025 class, and he's off to a giant start to his senior season. He's coming off an impressive junior season where he made 107 tackles, and he's playing just as good, if not better, to start his senior campaign. The Fannin County defender has made 28 total tackles through his first two games of the season. In a week one win over Gilmer, Born made 14 total stops with one TFL. In a week two win over Rabun County, the 6-foot-1 215-pounder made 14 more tackles with another TFL. He's a ball-hawk who knows how to attack and find the ball-carrier, getting him to the ground successfully. Look for Born to be one of the region's most productive defenders this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1570075' first='Braylon' last='Pritchett'] - Ridgeland

This North Georgia linebacker ma not blow anyone away with his size, but make no mistake, this kid plays with heart, passion, and has a true nose for the football. He's been a tackling machine so far this year because he plays hard, understands his role, has a high football IQ, and always finds his way to the ball. He consistently fights off blocks for someone his size and has no problem running down the back and making a secure tackle. In week one, this 5-foot-9 180-pounder made 15 tackles during a tough loss to Ft. Oglethrope. Ridgeland lost another close game in week two, but Pritchett still shined, making 12 more tackles along with two TFLs. His team might be 0-2, but Pritchett is making the most of his senior season so far.

[player_tooltip player_id='401495' first='Duke' last='Condie'] - Alpharetta

An impressive junior linebacker in North Fulton having a strong start to the 2024 season, Condie is a tough, sure-tackling defender who can fill the gaps in the trenches and stop the run. He brings a thick 6-foot-2 240-pound frame so he brings plenty of muscle behind his tackles. It's been a tough start to the season for Alpharetta, but Condie has been all over the field and has made a big impact. Against Houston County in week one, Condie made 14 tackles before making 12 more against the mighty Kell Longhorns. He's filling up the stat sheet and he might keep doing it throughout a tough 2024 season if the Raiders don't start to improve. Condie is quickly becoming a 2026 linebacker to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id='1201671' first='Cam' last='Farley'] - Jasper County

Another North Georgia linebacker to know about this fall, this under the radar sophomore is coming off a giant 2023 season where he made eye-opening 100 tackles, 15 TFLs, and three sacks. Now, it looks like Farley is even better, starting his junior season off with a bang. A sound tackler who knows how to wrap up properly and consistently get the ball-carrier to the ground, this Jasper County linebacker made 12 tackles in a week one loss to Taylor County before making 14 tackles in a big win over Hancock Central. Look for Farley to have an eye-opening junior season over the next few months.
