After each team pitched a shutout in blowout victories last week, the Bearcats traveled to Buell Stadium in a matchup of top 10 teams. The game was picked as the Wired Axcess Podcast Plug N Play Game of the Week. Kearney has been notorious for playing spoiler when they take on top teams. However, the Patriots brought effort and energy from the opening kickoff, burst into an early lead, and did not look back. This article will spotlight the players whose talent shined bright on Friday night.

Prucha is a physical runner with a low center of gravity, making him tough to tackle as he bursts through the line. He finished the night with 92 yards, including 68 rushing, and 4 TDs, most of which came in the first half. While the Patriots spread the ball through the air, Prucha delivered a punch to the Bearcats with his power running game. He complements the passing attack with his ability to break long runs, showing both speed and shiftiness. A good receiver out of the backfield, Prucha is a three-down back with a full skillset who will be invaluable in the postseason.

Hill finished with 7 receptions for 112 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his dynamic playmaking ability. His speed and precise route running give defenders fits, making him a nightmare matchup in the slot. The Patriots utilize his versatility by involving him in the running game, and he made key plays on two drives that set up red zone opportunities. With his knack for creating big plays and challenging defenses, Hill is a talent that will undoubtedly catch the attention of scouts.

The Urban name is prominent in the halls of Millard South, and Teagan is living up to it. Explosive sideline-to-sideline, Urban is patient while plays develop but shoots out like a rocket once diagnosed. A form tackler, he finished the night with 14 tackles—12 solo, 5 for a loss, and an interception. With the size and physicality to play downhill and the speed to drop into coverage, Urban is versatile. Scouts may come for the offense, but they'll leave impressed with Urban's standout talent on defense.

Thomalla was an obvious choice for the spotlight, throwing for 374 yards and 4 touchdowns with only 6 incompletions on the night. He displayed full command of the offense and can make every throw with elite ball placement. Despite an injury scare, Thomalla showed grit, missing just one play before returning to throw a touchdown a couple of plays later. His size, arm strength, and leadership ability make him a top prospect heading into his final high school years, with scouts undoubtedly taking notice.

Kracl was a lone bright spot on a tough day for the Bearcats, showcasing exceptional leg talent. He punted with impressive distance and precision, nailed a 40-yard field goal that had the range for over 50 yards, and even completed a pass for one of Kearney's few first downs. Kracl's big frame and powerful leg, paired with his confidence—a must for any kicker—make him a standout. With his physical traits, dedication to his craft, and strong mentality, Kracl deserves recognition as one of the top kickers in the state.

Honorable Mentions:

Millard South Receivers: Dashawn Prince | Issac Jensen | [player_tooltip player_id='319200' first='Chase' last='Loftin']

Combining for over 200 yards receiving, each of these players displayed why they are sought-after recruits. Prince ran solid routes and showed his play-making ability in the open field. Jensen's strong hands and physicality made him a tough cover, and tough to bring down. Loftin is as advertised, great size with speed at the tight end position, busting open for an 81 yard touchdown.

Millard South | [player_tooltip player_id='487606' first='Daxton' last='Williams'] | 2026 | DE/OLB

Williams showed a strong motor while making an impact in multiple ways. He had 8 tackles, 2 for a loss, including 1 sack. Williams also hauled in an interception. With Pugh demanding double teams on the defensive line, Williams could be impactful on a nightly basis.

Millard South | [player_tooltip player_id='407456' first='Toris' last='Rudd Jr'] | 2026 | DB

Rudd had a dominant game. He set the tone early with three passes defended in the first half which led to him not being thrown at much the rest of the game. His 6-foot frame, ability to be physical, and footwork took away an entire side of the field and limited the Kearney offense even more than they already were.
