Mid-Season Highlight Film Reviews

Lots of good ball is being played, and we are seeing players improve their game before our eyes. In <a href="https://x.com/jay1johnson_/status/1838002657136451658" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">3 games</a>, he has 32 rush attempts, 156 yards, 4 TDs, averaging 4.86 yards per attempt, and 1 reception for 16 yards. His tape shows him to be a dependable back inside the 10 yard line due to his vision, burst, contact balance, and run strength to get the ball in the end zone. Blocking alongside Clemson commit [player_tooltip player_id='1228322' first='Easton' last='Ware'] and for Clemson commit [player_tooltip player_id='1228323' first='Gideon' last='Davidson'], Jaxon has lived up to the challenge. Shows explosiveness in his down blocks to drive the Nose out of the gap, displays a very nice kickout pull versus Salem, and has the athleticism to block in Zone and in space on screens. He is playing with good bend and power, allowing him to remain balanced in his blocks. He is playing with speed and explosiveness and proving to be a dependable tackler at linebacker. His full speed is shown in his punt return for a TD in his film below. He is making catches in the back of the end zone, running deep Go routes, and taking screens for positive gains. He has shown that he can play against the best at WR and OLB. At WR, he is willing to run routes in the middle of the field and secure the catch in traffic in the face of a safety coming downhill to hit him. In the two games, he has 6 receptions, and 107 yards, averaging 17.83 yards per reception. On defense, he has recorded 10 tackles, with 4 tackles for loss. He plays well in run support, keeps contain on the edge, can pass rush from depth, and is making open field tackles.
