Now, Tomarion doesn't have anything new up on his Hudl, but the High School Football media have taken notice of Tomarion's rise. From the handful of highlights I've seen from two weeks, it looks to me like Tomarion is earning more opportunities and doing more with those opportunities. Last season, I couldn't help but think that Tomarion could improve on his vision. So far this season, it looks like he's improved on the vision and decisiveness while being as powerful as ever. Even better, he's putting up big games against great defenses. It seems safe to say that this is finally Tomarion's breakout season, and I truly hope I'll be able to catch a Mona Shores game this season!

After missing a bit of time last season, Michael is well on his way to a breakout 2024 season. During Week 1, I was pretty dang impressed with his athleticism. Not to mention that he beat out a few other older prospects to earn the starting RB job. I know that King took a loss last week, but I fully expect Michael and the rest of King to be excellent this season.

Maybe I'm jumping the gun on a "breakout" season, but I know for sure that he has the talent to get it done!

I gained a whole lot of respect for Isaac after his week 1 performance against Davison. Although his stats won't show much, it was his blocking that stood out to me. De La Salle seems to love their power running backs, and Isaac fits the mold super well. Isaac is especially strong in pass pro-. I almost never see High School RBs succeed in pass protection.

I know that Isaac has the power needed to be an excellent power back. I don't think he has the experience or the IQ to break out in that aspect just yet, but I'd be shocked if I didn't at least see a lot of growth this season. Regardless, Isaac has lived up to his ranking and is having a bit of a breakout season.

Donovan's time is now. Up to this point, Donovan has been a high projection more than anything. Now, Donovan is putting up phenomenal numbers, and he's truly showing off his athletic upside. Week 1 against Waterford Mott, he rushed for well over 200 yards. I know he rushed for over 1000 last season, but based on that performance and the film that goes with it, I'm expecting 1500+ yards this fall. I also know that Donovan has a few Division 1 offers, and I'm curious if his in-season performances can propel him toward Power 4 scholarships.

PJ has been killing it so far on both sides of the ball! Just a few weeks ago, PJ totaled over 200 yards rushing, three touchdowns, and eight tackles. What I like most from the first two weeks of play is PJ's power. He isn't the fastest or most athletic, but he runs angry and works hard to maximize his opportunities. In addition, PJ has excellent vision for someone who doesn't have that upper-end athleticism. It's obvious when watching his tape that he's a very experienced running back, and he could very well lead Paw Paw to a deep postseason run.
