The top player in the 2026 class has gotten off to a solid start in the loaded Millard South offense. Thus far, [player_tooltip player_id='487568' first='Amarion' last='Jackson'] has hauled in 15 receptions for 193 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown through four games. Amarion's dominant sophomore season established his status as a top-tier receiver who needs to be accounted for on every play. He's a threat to strike from anywhere on the field, but his ability to find the sticks and get open on crucial downs is where he kills defenses. Great route runner with good range and athleticism. Jackson has also taken on a bigger role defensively, tallying 10 tackles, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery as the Patriot's starting safety.

Millard South added another massive weapon this offseason with the transfer of former Central Eagle [player_tooltip player_id='212372' first='DaShawn' last='Prince']. Since arriving, Dashawn has already emerged as a big play threat on offense, with seven receptions for 143 yards (20 yards per reception) and two receiving touchdowns. Prince is a big-bodied receiver who excels at going up

You read that right; Nebraska's top three junior prospects are all in the Millard South pass-catchers group. Tight end [player_tooltip player_id='487573' first='Isaac' last='Jensen'] has been a fast rising prospect with several Power 4 offers under his belt. The Patriot's tight end has continued to grow both physically and as a player. Isaac's mix of size and athleticism make him an instant mismatch for whoever is tasked with covering him. Jensen currently sits second in receiving yardage for the Patriots with 18 receptions for 271 yards and four receiving touchdowns, which are close to eclipsing his sophomore totals.

The Mustangs got a big boost with the arrival of [player_tooltip player_id='284046' first='Araf' last='Evans'] Jr who transferred from Bellevue West. Evans has made himself at home in the Millard North secondary as he's accumulated over 20 tackles and 2 TFLs (only stats for two games). What makes Araf such a great target is via versatility as a defender and overall as a football player. He's great in coverage with natural instincts, technique, and ball skills, while also being providing support against the run. Evans has also flashed his offensive skill set as a receiver. Great athlete who will only continue to pick up looks from schools!

Last year's state leader in passing yards is back at it again! Millard South's [player_tooltip player_id='476963' first='Jett' last='Thomalla'] returns for his second season as starting QB and looks as dialed in as ever. He's already setting an astounding pace to blow last year's totals out of the water. Through three games, Jett has completed 66% of his passes (98/147) for 1,375passing yards and 15 touchdowns, averaging 344 passing yards per game. Thomalla is carving defenses up with his decision-making, cool pocket presence, and top-tier accuracy. It shouldn't be long before the offers start rolling in.

The Millard South Patriots have elite talent at the skill positions AND in the trenches with the #1 and #2 ranked offensive linemen in the class, [player_tooltip player_id='402157' first='Landen' last='Von Seggern'] and [player_tooltip player_id='487602' first='Carter' last='Glab']. Landen is donning some new threads after transferring from Papillion-La Vista. Von Seggern quickly established himself as the Patriot's starting left tackle and has been key in keeping Thomalla's blind side safe and the run game surging. Carter returns for his second season as the Patriot's starting center, where he has been incredibly consistent since taking over. The Patriots offense averages over 350 passing yards and 115 rushing yards per game (three games), with Landen and Carter leading the charge in the trenches.

Eli also plays with a mean streak that shines through in his blocking. It seems as if Eli is on the verge of a breakout season with 15 receptions for 274 yards and for touchdowns. Definitely one to watch out for on the recruiting trail!

Elkhorn North's [player_tooltip player_id='1105168' first='Alex' last='Uchtman'] is listed as a defensive back on our rankings but will likely be moved over to ATH with his emergence as a do-it-all offensive weapon. On defense, it has been business as usual for Alex, as he's posted seven tackles, a TFL, and an interception while locking things down on his side of the field. It seems teams have learned he's not one you want to test. Offensively, Uchtman has erupted for 506 receiving yards on 13 receptions and five touchdowns, averaging an insane 39 yards per reception. He also played some RB last season, so don't be surprised to see him running the ball at some point. Uchtman has been on game-day visits to Nebraska and South Dakota State, with a trip to North Dakota State also scheduled.

One of the speediest players in the state, Grand Island's [player_tooltip player_id='402160' first='Nelsyn' last='Wheeler'] continues to impress as he shoulders a bigger load for the Islander's offense this season. Wheeler is on pace to blow past his sophomore season totals with 375 rushing yards and two touchdowns through three games compared to 547 yards all of last season. Nelsyn is an interesting prospect because of his versatility as a receiving back and overall well-rounded game. Wheeler is just as much a threat as a receiving back out of the backfield as he is toting the rock. Lots of FBS/FCS attention being directed Nelsyn's way!

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='487557' first='Will' last='Anderson'] stepped into the full-time QB1 role for the Bellevue West Thunderbirds and has them off to a solid start thus far. Through three games, Will has completed 58% of his passes (44/75) for 467 yards and has a clean 5-0 TD to Int ratio. Anderson has also flashed what he can do with his legs and athleticism, adding 110 rushing yards and three touchdowns on the ground. Will is a player with a crazy high ceiling who will only continue looking sharper as he settles in the offense. Anderson should quickly rise on recruiting boards as the season progresses.
