We're about a quarter of the day through the regular season, and with that, I'd like to check in on a few O/D line prospects. This article will feature five high-upside linemen who have caught my eye through three weeks of play.

I am impressed with the tape that Zander put up against Mt. Pleasant. He's showing exactly what I expect: a ton of power and effort from the right tackle position. His best highlights show pancakes where he plays through the whistle- which is rare for a lineman. The highlight at 0:12, in particular, shows a solid pass set where he punishes the smaller, weaker defensive end. 0:17 shows Zander with a great block which opens up a huge hole for his running back. It was incredibly obvious that Zander's skill was far ahead of the opposing defenders.

I still would like to see better footwork from Zander. I like that he immediately puts his hands up on pass sets, and he actually looks improved in that area, but the footwork still needs some work. As for run blocking, he tends to lead with a false step. Still, a dominant performance for Zander, and I'm looking forward to seeing how he does against solid teams like Lapeer later this season.

Nash has gotten a great jump on his senior season. The most significant thing that stands out with Nash's tape is his power. On several occasions, Nash overpowers his opposing lineman and makes a good run stop. At other times like 0:39, Nash shows solid IQ and puts himself in the right position to make a TFL. Other plays like 1:22 show very good effort, but it's also apparent that he's not the fastest or most explosive defensive end. Still, where he may lack in athleticism, he makes up for it in effort and power. It's been a great two weeks, and It's a shame that we didn't get any Week 3 highlights due to opponent forfeit. I'm very excited to see what Nash is able to do against stronger opponents like Oakridge and North Muskegon!

Here's a rising sophomore that's worth keeping an eye on. Starting with size, 6'0" 235 makes for a solid high school offensive lineman, but with that height, Connor's ceiling lies at defensive tackle.

First, let's talk about his offensive performance. At 0:13, Connor shows an OK pass set and ultimately wins the block. In terms of offense, Connor really needs to work on his footwork and fundamentals.

Defensively, Connor has some good plays. His first highlights shows a solid getoff and a great TFL. At 0:30, Connor shows good anchor and ultimately makes a good play on the running back. The highlight at 0:34 may be his best highlight, as Connor shows good power and effort, almost getting to the QB.

Connor is still a raw prospect. There's a lot of room for him to grow, but the trajectory is optimistic. I'm looking forward to watching his end of season tape, and I hope that Connor has a game-changing offseason.

I am extremely excited to see what Davis accomplishes throughout this season. Through 3 weeks, he's already made some impressive plays. During week 3 in particular, he racked up 4.5 tackles and a QB pressure. The first highlight from week 3 showcases some phenomenal effort, especially for a defensive lineman. Furthermore, Davis's third and fourth highlights show great physicality and some good effort. In the future, I'd love to see better strength, anchor, and overall block shedding.

Nolan has some quality tape through week 3. A minute of watching his highlights, and you'll see why he's committed to #2 ranked Grand Valley State. For one, he's a dominant run blocker. Having faced plenty of good competition so far, Nolan has shown consistently great power and usually good footwork. On top of that, he engages in a wide variety of blocks from basic down blocks to more difficult reach blocks. When it comes to pass blocking, Nolan has OK footwork (still better than 90% of linemen) but still shows that exceptional power. Nolan is a well-repped leader on the Offensive line and I'm happy to see his best traits shining through heading into week 4.
