There's a ton of programs that will be squaring up against out of state programs this week, and they all project to be gritty, dog fight type of games.
Brophy vs Regis Jesuit (Colorado)

Brophy will host a Denver powerhouse in Regis Jesuit, and will see if they can make it 2-0. They're fresh off a close 35-28 win over Williams Field, but they're playing a tough team with a chip on their shoulder as Regis Jesuit looks to bounce back after a 17-0 opening week loss against Valor Christian. This one is going to be that high energy, physical, hostile atmosphere I'd imagine as both teams are coming in with something to prove.

Perry @ Granite Hills (California)

Perry rolls into Cali with some momentum behind sophomore starter [player_tooltip player_id='883279' first='Kael' last='Snyder'] who lit it u this week. I'm interested to see how he'll do against some really tough competition, as Granite Hills is also loaded with talent on both sides of the ball with a sophomore QB. Granite Hills enters the contest 2-0 after wins over Mission Hills and Mater Dei catholic, and have shown the ability to score on command with that high powered offense. This one has shootout written all over it, and it'll be interesting to see how both sophomore QB's match up.

Mountain Pointe @ Cathedral Catholic (California)

Mountain Pointe heads west out to San Diego to take on 2-0 Cathedral Catholic. Cathedral Catholic has put up 90 points in two games with their wins over Chaminade and Mater Dei Catholic. However, Mountain Pointe's defense is loaded up with impressive prospects and led by Washington commit [player_tooltip player_id='368942' first='Rylon' last='Dillard-Allen'], who has established himself as a feared DB in the west coast. Very interested to see how this high scoring CC offense matches up against a stout, fly around defense.

Higley @ San Juan Hills (California)

The back to back 5A stat champs will test themselves against a tough Cali squad at San Juan Hills. Higley enters this game 1-0 with a 42-0 blowout week 1 win over Campo Verde. Higley is in serious contention to be favored for a 3-peat here in 2024, and I'm not sure anyone in AZ is taking them down in the regular season despite their tough schedule. San Juan Hills posts a 2-0 record and have been absolutely dominating their opponents with 43-14 win over Oceanside and a 38-3 win over Roosevelt. Needless to say this is a great matchup for both teams, both sides of the ball, and will bolster the momentum for whoever comes out with a W.

Corona del Sol @ Apple Valley (California)

Corona del Sol is looking to bounce back after a week 1 shootout loss against 4A Casa Grande 52-44. Apple Valley is also looking to ingnite a spark in their season as they've drooped their first two games, heading into the out of state matchup 0-2. Both teams really need a W here, as Apple Valley can't afford to go 0-3 to start the season while Corona del Sol doesn't want to drop this one knowing they have Pinnacle, Chandler, and Saguaro lined u after this week.

Cibola vs Imperial (California)

Cibola hosts Imperial which is just a o drive across the AZ boarder for Imperial. Cibola enters this one 0-1 with a week 1 loss against Dobson, while Imperial enters this one 2-0 and looks to keep momentum rolling. They've surrendered just 13 points in 2 game thus far, showcasing a tough defense through 2 weeks.
