Below are a few of the Red Devils that stood out to me Friday night.

#21 Joshawia Davis Jr. - 2026 RB/LB

The 5'9 190 RB/LB was a game changer on both side of the ball for the Red Devils Friday. A solid built multisport guy (track, basketball) that brings a lot of strength and athleticism to the field. Quick 1st step and vision from the LB spot. Made several bone jarring tackles and had a couple of big solo stops at the goal line. On offense he runs the ball with purpose and is a load to bring down 1v1. A new name for us here at Prep Redzone but one we will hear a lot about this Fall.

Big Boys Up Front

The Red Devils have a lot of size and skill up front this season, especially for a 1A-D2 school.

#55 '25 Jackson Edwards (5'10 225) is a returning All State DL that is the fire plug of the DL. Strong active DL with high football IQ that loves to hit. #54 '25 Xavier Simmons (6'3 260) looks the part of front. Good size and quickness in the trenches that plays with a nasty streak. #58 '26 Stewart Powell (6'4 250) OT with good size that plays with a lot of passion and enthusiasm.

With the stable of RBs the Red Devils have this big OL will go along way in getting the Red Devils in position to 3-Peat.

#5 Berkley Perkins - 2026 DB/WR

A physical active kid with speed in the Red Devil secondary. He had several tackles in Fridays scrimmage and picked off a pass and had a nice return. Hard nosed guy that gives the Red Devils an option on the outside and downfield on the offensive side of ball. Puts his head down and plays hard, fearless.

#2 Nathan Bhony - 2025 RB/DB

The 5'7 175 RB gives the Red Devils a little change of pace in the backfield with Davis. Quick with a good burst that can get around the edges. He didn't break any huge runs Friday against that stout Tiger defense but you could see the potential was there. Good cover DB that can tackle in space. A track guy in the off season that ran an 11.20 100m.

#6 Dylan McGrinn - 2025 LB

No surprise here, the 5'11 180 LB was a tackling machine last season for Bowdon racking up 151 total tackles with 6 TFL. He lived in the backfield on Friday and if it wasn't for the Do Not Sack the QB jersey I think McGrinn would have been in on a few sacks. Good vision with a high football IQ and is hard to get a hat on when he peels his ears back. Weight room warrior that will have a huge Senior season.

Others:

#8 Keilan Prothro (2026 DB) did a good job matched up with taller and skilled Tiger WRs

#9 Charles Maxwell (2025 QB) was a good game manager Friday, especially in the 2 min offense to end the half. Throws a good ball and has good size.

#1 [player_tooltip player_id='908935' first='Kaiden' last='Prothro'] (2025 WR/TE) the highly recruited 6'6 catches your eye early. Didn't show up on the stat sheet Friday but is a game changer in the amount of attention the defense has to pay to him.
