(RB) [player_tooltip player_id='219401' first='Jamarion' last='Morrow'] - Melrose

- Transferring over to Melrose late in the off-season, Morrow immediately shoots to the top of the board when it comes to Mr. Football as this West TN talent is one of the best overall prospects from our #TN2025 class. The Golden Wildcats senior ball carrier is electric with the ball in his hands, sporting outstanding quickness and speed along with the ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. Committing to Missouri this summer, Morrow has a great shot to put up outstanding numbers on the 4A level this year while helping his Melrose team push for a region title and possibly a spot in Chattanooga for the state championship. If he does all that, Mr. Football is certainly in the cards!

(RB) [player_tooltip player_id='466233' first='Camarion' last='Miller'] - Haywood

- Coming off a junior season where Miller ran for a little more than 1,900 yards, this West TN ball carrier returns for his senior year as a clear cut candidate for Mr. Football but also a player that could run his Tomcats team to the 4A state title game. He certainly could as Miller is a very talented back that brings a versatile skill set to the backfield that will be leaned upon heavily this season. Sharing the backfield is something Miller must do but the way Haywood runs the ball, he will see the ball in his hands a lot. If this undersized but strong and fast ball carrier can remain healthy throughout the season, Miller very well could be in Chattanooga by season's end as a Mr. Football finalist.

(RB) [player_tooltip player_id='1102345' first='Kemonte' last='Williams'] - Haywood

- The other part of the Tomcats backfield, Williams had a strong junior campaign himself where he rushed for over 1,800 yards while producing 27 touchdowns on the season. He now returns for his senior year where he is looking to produce even more while running his way into consideration for Mr. Football. A strong, well built young man, Williams is a load to deal with for the opposition due to his power and deceptive speed. His value in the red zone is high as well due to that strength. The Tomcats senior running back is also still available on the recruiting market, so a big senior year should not only help with his college endeavors but also puts him in the mix to achieve the classifications top individual honor.

(Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='811032' first='Javion' last='Kinnard'] - Pearl Cohn

- One of the best available prospects from our #TN2025 recruiting class, Kinnard is an athletic and explosive playmaker that can change the game in a heartbeat with his breakneck speed. His abilities on the football field squarely puts him in the mix for Mr. Football but also a player the Firebirds can lean on to help them repeat as 4A state champs. The speed Kinnard brings to the table is dangerous but it allows him to do a variety of things on offense, which provides the Firebirds to be open with their operations. You will see Kinnard catch passes, take handoffs and return kicks this season, so I'm expecting a big year out of this Nashville based prospect as well as find himself on the stage as a finalist for Class 4A Mr. Football.

(Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='1310950' first='Gabe' last='Borders'] - Macon Co.

- Borders is one guy on this list that was a part of the Mr. Football conversation last year where the Tigers senior athlete came up just short but definitely gave him motivation to go after and win it this season. A multi talented offensive prospect, Borders handles the QB role for Macon Co. within a run based offense, so the ball will constantly be in his hands. I don't expect anything short than a spectacular, highly productive season out of Borders. If he plays up to the capabilities I think he can, Macon co. can become a sleeper for their region title but also Borders will be right in the mix for Mr. Football again with a great shot at bringing the award home.

(Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='1102967' first='Tripp' last='Pinion'] - White Co.

- Ever since starting his sophomore season, Pinion has done nothing but produce at a high level and I don't expect this Fall to be any different. One of the best running quarterbacks in the state, the Warriors senior prospect is very tough to deal with and stop as his motor stays on high and his desire to win is even higher. Pinion is a soldier that does anything it takes to help his team and as long as he stays healthy and his line does their job, I expect another 3,000 plus offensive year out of him. If he does what I think he will, Pinion will definitely be in consideration for Mr. Football and become a prime contender to win it.

‘26 (QB) [player_tooltip player_id='1254853' first='Bronzden' last='Chaffin'] - Upperman

- The Bees have a stud in Chaffin that started to make his mark last year as a sophomore but returns this Fall to continue building and potentially put himself in the conversation for Class 4A Mr. Football. Standing 6 '4 220 pounds, Chaffin is a nice looking prospect behind center that could be the top true dual threat quarterback in the state. He sports a big arm that can push it down field while also having the athleticism and speed to outrun his opponents. All the tools are in place for Chaffin to have a big junior season, compete for Mr. Football honors while leading his Bees team to a potential region title and beyond.

(TE/LB) [player_tooltip player_id='848818' first='Gabe' last='Lovorn'] - South Gibson

- One of the top prospects coming out of the 4A ranks, Lovorn is a top defensive prospect on this watch list for Mr. Football that I feel could play his way into becoming a finalist, especially with his ability to shine on both sides of the ball. The Hornets senior product steps into a leadership role this season where he will be expected to produce and perform at a high level, week in and week out and I believe Lovorn is ready for the challenge. He should be a go-to target on offense at tight end but it's his work at edge linebacker that I think will put him in play for Mr. Football. If we are looking for a defensive prospect to be considered for the top individual honor, Lovorn is definitely at the top of the list.

(QB) [player_tooltip player_id='650014' first='Landen' last='Hensley'] - Anderson Co.

- Making the move over to Anderson Co. for his senior season, Hensley came to the Mavs to compete for a state championship and by being on a team that has a chance to do that, this senior signal caller will have a shot to compete for Mr. Football as well. A cerebral quarterback with a good feel for the game, Hensley brings a nice skill set to the AC backfield where he is a pass first guy but has the mobility to gain yards with his legs as well. He will have a solid supporting cast around him too, so pieces are in place for this East TN passer to have a big senior year and become a darkhorse for the top individual honor in the state.

‘26 (Ath) [player_tooltip player_id='1467544' first='Jody' last='Scruggs'] - Carter

- Every classification must have a sleeper to follow throughout the season and for Class 4A Mr. Football, Scruggs is our guy! This multi talented, athletic offensive weapon has a chance to become the “go-to” guy this Fall for his Hornets team and if he plays like I think he will, that top individual honor could be in play. Scruggs is an undersized performer that plays much bigger with his quickness and speed being X-factors. He should see snaps on defense as well in the secondary. This is a prospect that can make some noise within his region and sneak up to be one of the top producers of offensive yards in the state by season's end, which could certainly put in the conversation for Mr. Football.
