PRZPA Team Preview, Upper Darby Royals

<p class="text-gray-700">6'2, 180 pounds. Previously showed up on Imhotep's roster, now showing up on Upper Darby's. Imhotep's QB situation is handled currently, so Campbell might have transferred in need of a starting role. Campbell Jr. is the lone QB on this Hudl page, to my knowledge. Great size, but no tape to dissect currently. Upper Darby is always on my list to visit each Fall, we'll see if Campbell is a name I should know moving forward. I believe he's #8 on the field, he has experience at UD, just no tape to look at. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">The staff over at PRZ PA, including myself, are well aware of [player_tooltip player_id='1233999' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson']'s potential after watching him tear through events all off-season. [player_tooltip player_id='1233999' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson']'s tape doubles down on that notion, forcing my hand to rank the Upper Darby three-way athlete inside the 2025 Top 100. Huge praise, yet [player_tooltip player_id='1233999' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson'] is currently unoffered to my knowledge. I have witnessed smaller athletes in terms of height and weight, earn FCS attention, would be a class steal if he falls to the Division Two level. Expect [player_tooltip player_id='1233999' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson'] to have his hands on everything this Fall, there's not much the young man can't do on the football field. Can start at back, can be split out wide, can play DB if need be, can return both punts and kicks, special player. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/2JaylenJohnson/status/1719882177263890446 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">An under-rated recruit here, not many know of Spicer's capabilities on both sides of the ball. Narrowly missed being ranked a top 50 junior two-way player, [player_tooltip player_id='1156025' first='A'zeem' last='Spicer'] should amplify [player_tooltip player_id='1233999' first='Jaylen' last='Johnson']'s versatility on the field. Having both Johnson and Spicer affect the ball on both sides of the field could annoy opposing coaches who have to find matchups for these kids. Spicer's sophomore tape has him aligning at WR or TE, a position he plays out of necessity in my opinion. Don't get me wrong, Spcier possesses a pair of trustworthy hands that should help any new QB coming into the Upper Darby huddle. Where Spicer looks most natural, most disruptive, is an OLB/EDGE. Spicer might not scream collegiate EDGE because of measurables, yet I imagine a school could like him manning an OLB position in a standard 3-4 set. Ton of production brought forth by the incoming junior, his presence was certainly felt last Fall. Can serve as a kick/punt returner for Upper Darby. A young man who should have made ort 2025 rankings update, this an oversight on my behalf. 3.1 GPA. Has brought in numerous All-Delco awards and nominations over the past year or so. [player_tooltip player_id='1520406' first='Milan' last='Jernigan'] reeled in a whopping 52 receptions as a junior in an offense that didn't always hit on all cylinders throughout the year. Over 1,000 scrimmage yards accumulated. An explosive player, can turn a hitch or curl into a touchdown from any point on the field. Acceleration skills are there, kid can hit a different gear in open space. A hands-catcher, can catch away from his body while maintaining speed. Unafraid to run routes that cross the middle of the field. This is Upper Darby's main target on offense, Johnson and Spicer can provide quality wideout reps, yet this is the seasoned wideout opposing defenses need to cover. In hindsight, I'd likely rank Jernigan inside the 2025 Top 500, a name I'll throw to PSACs.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/milanjernigan5/status/1818829139777905069 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">6'3, 250 pounds. Posted a 2-minute seasonal tape on Hudl. Can double as a starter at left tackle and DE for this Upper Darby team. Can flash violence and finishing ability only if he gets his hands in the chest of a defender perfectly. Chips well, carries the size/build of a tight end, so I can't fault him for not blowing up EDGE defenders as if he were 280. Like his reps on defense, although I think he has a future at TE when projecting to the next level. Can count on Bateman to reach the second level a jolt linebackers back into their pre-snap alignment. Defensive reps are the cherry on top, the first trench player mentioned on a team loaded with play-makers.</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Justinbateman58/status/1815528658204868610 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1520408' first='Marzan' last='Doyle'] is a name worth stashing. A bit undersized for a future at OL, yet could play a role beside Bateman in the defensive front this coming Fall. Has a junior tape on Hudl, yet not enough for me to dissect or rank. I'll have my eyes peeled for a senior tape later in the year. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='940968' first='Zahir' last='Robinson'] is on our PA 2026 Watchlist, yet no tape from last Fall to be found. Robinson has a lengthy transfer record, with Bonner and Sacred Heart HS both being listed as previous homes on Robinson's Hudl. All clips on Hudl are over a year old, so I don't have much to work with here. Either way, this is a name I'll keep an eye on moving forward, likely a DB who can contribute at safety. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Here's an incoming junior, one who threw out promising tape as a sophomore. [player_tooltip player_id='1520410' first='Salahudin' last='Abdur-Rashid'] might be able to carve out a relief role behind [player_tooltip player_id='1317113' first='Jayden' last='Johnson'], so long as he worked hard this offseason to gain the trust of coaches. Abdur-Rashid has numerous reps at back, I think the staff could look his way as the primary back behind JJ. Worth mentioning that Abdur-Rashid can also be counted on to catch the rock. </p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/salah20K/status/1818849547377844692 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">Once a prospect who ranked inside out Top 100s. Formerly out of Roman Catholic, then turned Interboro player. The last tape available of out [player_tooltip player_id='264262' first='Samir' last='Mosley'] came forth on November 21st, 2022, with Mosley working at DB and WR for Interboro HS. Mosley now shows on Upper Darby's Hudl page, with Interboro seemingly in the back-view mirror. It's tough to gauge what to expect out of Mosley, I know the young man is talented in his own right, just unsure of what type of role there is to be had at Upper Darby, especially with so many two-way players who should see the rock. If Mosley can suit up for UD, I imagine he could man some kind of DB role in the secondary, UD might be lacking exactly that. Time will tell.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">I'm anticipating huge things out of incoming sophomore [player_tooltip player_id='1077144' first='Zy'Kerian' last='Reid']. This is likely a PA Top 100 2027 athlete in waiting. I admittedly don't have much to base my claims on outside of coaching chatter and hype out of the DELCO region. Said chatter and hype I'm inclined to believe. Reid is likely a two-way capable player whose role at Upper Darby has yet to fully fleshed out. From what I hear, the raw athleticism should make implementing Reid into the offense or defense easier than most. This underclassman is worth the trip out to see the Royals, I hear other unknown 2027s on this roster are worthy of coming out to see. Excited to see him live, to say the least.</p>
