August Rankings Release: 2028 Offensive Lineman

<p>We have officially released the rankings for the class of 2028 in the state of Arkansas. In this article, we will showcase the 2028 offensive lineman with analysis. Over the next week, I will break down these rankings by position, including other segments. Welcome to High School.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='927131' first='Zandan' last='Massey'] is ranked first as an offensive lineman in the 2028 class. He showcases a good blend of strength, power, and footwork on both sides of the ball. He displays solid initial quickness off the snap with good pad level and hand placement to create leverage and drive or displace defenders with active feet. He's solid on reach blocks due to solid angles and foot quickness, as well as the ability to reach the second level off combo blocks. He has a strong anchor to control the opposition and stop bull rushers due to good lower body strength, hand placement, and balance.</p>   <p class="text-gray-700">Note – 3.3 GPA</p>   <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/zanmassey_/status/1807145959425753411 </div></figure>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1152154' first='Xzander' last='Rainey'] is ranked number two on our board. He displays solid initial quickness into his pass sets, showcasing good lower body strength, power, balance, and UOH to create leverage, control, and anchor against pass rushers. Rainey fires off the LOS with good hand placement to create inside leverage and displace the DL to consistently create running lanes. His power and explosion also translate to dominate on the other side of the trenches. Hathcock comes in as my favorite offensive lineman prospect out of the class, and I expect to be one of the top prospects overall with high recruitment by his senior season. He displays good anchor vs. power/bull rushers on the jump, vertical, and 45 sets as he showcases good hand timing, hand strength, and hand placement, along with good foot quickness, balance, and core strength to anchor and control the opposition. He also demonstrates good initial quickness in his pass sets, setting up quickly with the ability to mirror DL due to good lateral agility, footwork, balance, and awareness. He displays solid lower and upper body strength to match any defensive lineman. Burton demonstrates solid hand placement, lower body power, and active feet, enabling him to drive back or displace opponents off base blocks and create running lanes. He consistently wins base blocking within the running game due to his ability to create leverage with his strength and displace. King displays solid footwork and hand placement, allowing himself to create inside leverage and driving his opposition back due to good lower body strength. Off that leverage and leg drive, he pancakes the defenders into the ground. He shows good lateral agility and foot quickness during pulls, reaching the second level to create a running lane.
