During our camp in January, he switched to defensive end and impressed us with his quickness, power, and motor. He displays solid initial quickness off the snap, along with solid hand placement and the length needed to create inside leverage. Tackett skillfully uses his hands and can mirror rushers due to his solid balance, lateral agility, and foot quickness. He is also capable of reaching the second level to engage play side or weakside linebackers, effectively creating running lanes. Keep an eye on him.
