At 6'0” 160 lbs. he ran a 10.76 100 meter as a freshman and uses that speed to stay with receivers at all three depths. Possesses high level speed, quickness, and short area acceleration giving him the ability to cover ground quickly and change directions to match movement. Highly efficient with his movement he's got great footwork and technique from an early age. Good pad level throughout the play from his back pedal to his transition allowing him to accelerate out of his break. Solid foundation in both press man and zone coverage. Recruitment kicked off in May with an offer from BYU. Major D1 skillset that is expected to climb rankings and recruiting boards going forward. </p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Brooks flashed throughout his freshman year filling up the stat sheet with four interceptions, 40 tackles, two forced fumbles, and two PBU's. He's able to cover a lot of ground with good range to cover vertically and to the boundary. Demonstrates good eye discipline to process his reads and anticipate where the ball is going. Times out his jump at the catch point and is able to track the deep ball effectively to prevent completions. Comes downhill aggressively in run support. He's got the quick burst to be elusive in the open field and the top-end speed to break away from defenders. Flashes plus field vision and patience to find and exploit running lanes. Agile in making sharp cuts and changing direction while maintaining balance in tight spaces. Can absorb and break contact while maintaining his forward momentum to pick up tough yardage. Well-rounded skillset that can catch the ball out of the backfield or lining up in the slot. Ran for 235 yards and four touchdowns in first game as a sophomore on just 17 carries. First offered by Nevada in June.</p>      <p class="text-gray-700">Flashed great potential and upside playing varsity as freshman for one of the top programs in northern California. He's a downhill and physical runner with a strong compact frame at 5'10” 185 lbs. He's explosive in the short area with great acceleration to top speed. He presses the line quickly to apply pressure to the defense and does a great job breaking first contact. Exceled as a blocker in 2023 where he was violent as a lead blocker and in pass pro.
