2025 Rankings Update: Big-time Adds from the Watch List, Part IV

What differentiates this set of prospects from the rest is that from the ashes of the watchlist, they rose and are here to stay. Below are a handful of prospects that were watchlisted and, immediately upon film review, shot toward the top of our rankings for the class of 2025.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:acf/evaluation-block {"name":"acf/evaluation-block","data":{"player_evaluations_0_player":["1031726"],"_player_evaluations_0_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_0_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_0_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations":1,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"preview","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-66b5826ba4bd1"} --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Already identified as one of my favorite prospects after watching his film, [player_tooltip player_id='1031726' first='Dan' last='Russo'] made a big leap from the watch list to the #33 overall ranked prospect in New Jersey. A linebacker and Wing-T fullback, the Delsea product packs a helluva punch. Perhaps the most powerful prospect in the state, Russo does two things extremely well: get down hill and attack - all with power. Russo possesses a burst through the line and accelerates well, allow him to bowl through his matchup on either side of the ball. A good hitter who rallies to the ball extremely well on defense, Russo protects the ball through contact and wants to run you over. Similarly, he can shoot a gap with speed, wrap well when tackling, and tackle to his leverage. He can move a pile back and also move it forward. Watch his film. Fast forward gto his senior season, Hadzovic now has a strong upper body that enables him to toss and sling opponents to the ground. He can also get off the ball quickly and get to the second level with ease. Perhaps his best attribute, Hadzovic is excellent on down blocks. Connected to those down blocks, he comes off of double teams for second-level defenders well, too. A standout amongst college coaches in attendance, Obser was often the one linebacker that was talked about the most. On film we see the Point Boro prospect is able to bend the corner well, aided by his explosive initial first step. Obser is also able to set the edge nicely by hard jointing and forcing plays back inside; conversely, when asked to spill he dips his shoulder and rips to evade and get inside of trappers. Tackling-wise, this prospect is a very good wrapper who also maintains his feet through contact. A player is disruptive due to his physicality, first step, and motor, Taylor causes a lot of havoc and headaches for opposing offenses. First, he cannot be blocked with a running back. Using his hands, Taylor recognizes reach very well and is able to work the arm over. One to never give up on plays, he pursues very well from backside.
