2025 Defenders Set for Big Seasons This Fall!

We are checking out some more talented defenders out of the 2025 class, here are some that are set for some big senior seasons!    [player_tooltip player_id='625013' first='Jamar' last='Moultrie'] is a talented defensive back out of Hoover who has been a force in their secondary throughout the last few seasons. Moultrie is terrific in coverage, on tape you can consistently find him winning matchups against some very talented receivers across the state. Moultrie has a ton of speed, instincts, and physicality, making him a tough player to throw the ball against. He does a great job jamming receivers up at the line of scrimmage, isn't easily baited, and uses his hands to frequently make plays on the ball, racking up interceptions and pass breakups across the field. In addition to how well he plays against the pass, Moultrie is great at attacking the run. He has a ton of pursuit- he doesn't give up on plays and will try to track and take down the ball carrier each snap regardless of where he initially lined up pre-snap. All of these skills haven't gone unnoticed by teams at the next level, Moultrie has picked up offers from Austin Peay, Jacksonville State, ULM, and plenty more. Be sure to be on the lookout for Moultrie this fall, he's heading into a heck of a senior season and will likely make a ton of plays!     [player_tooltip player_id='960765' first='AJ' last='Rice'] is a hard-hitting linebacker out of Madison Academy that has been unstoppable for their defense the last few years. Rice is extremely physical and makes his presence known every time he takes the field. At 6'2 225, Rice plays with a ton of speed and aggression, consistently making plays in the open field and behind the line of scrimmage. Rice plays against the run at a high level, largely in part due to his vision and instincts. He has a great understanding of where the ball carrier is headed and frequently places himself in the right position to make plays. Last fall this was easy to see as Rice had one of his best seasons to date. Throughout the year, Rice recorded 60 total tackles (9 tackles for loss), 2 sacks, and three forced fumbles. Rice has played well for Madison throughout his career and has picked up several offers over the past few years. Earlier this year though, Rice decided to commit to Mississippi State, giving them a talented LB in their 2025 class. Keep track of Rice and this Madison defense this fall, they're set for a huge year!     [player_tooltip player_id='741065' first='Jotavion' last='Pierce'] is a talented safety prospect out of Montgomery Catholic that has become one of the top DBs in the entire state. Pierce is an all-around threat for opposing offenses to gameplan around- he provides a ton of juice to his defense and is a force against the run and pass. Pierce is a tackling machine, he has excellent technique and does a terrific job tracking and wrapping up the ball carrier. It's impressive watching the effort he plays with- he consistently gets involved on every snap regardless of what play is run. Pierce is also a really tough DB to throw against, he provides a ton of security deep downfield, isn't beat easily, and consistently uses his hands to force incompletions. All of this could be seen last fall- Pierce ended the season with 104 total tackles (59 solo, 3 for loss), one sack, one interception, and 4 pass breakups. With how well he's played and produced for Montgomery Catholic, Pierce has seen plenty of collegiate attention head his way over the past few years. Back in June, Pierce committed to Tulane, giving them a seriously talented defensive back in their 2025 class. Keep an eye on Pierce and this Montgomery Catholic squad this fall, they have the potential to do some big things!     [player_tooltip player_id='242062' first='Yusuf' last='Clark'] has been a dominant linebacker for Williamson since his freshman season and shows no signs of slowing down. Clark is a monster in Williamson's defense and has racked up some of the most impressive stats across the state over the last few seasons. Clark is a talented linebacker that thrives off his versatility- he frequently makes plays against the run, as a pass rusher, and out in coverage. Clark is highly athletic and plays with a ton of physicality as well. He has a ton of speed, strength, and quickness that allow him to consistently read, react, and make plays. Clark had a terrific year last fall where he was one of the top tackers in the state, on the season he recorded 101 tackles (49 solo, 6 for loss) and 3 sacks. Clark has been one of the top linebackers in the state's 2025 class since his freshman season and has picked up offers from Liberty, Tuskegee, Alabama A&M, and plenty of other programs. Keep an eye out for Clark this fall, he's set for a massive senior season with a really talented Williamson team!
