He is a super-talented defensive back that often takes on the opponent’s top receiver. Moultrie’s physical nature at the line of scrimmage disrupts routes and completely takes away an offensive weapon. We love his competitiveness. Moultrie does not take plays off and is relentless from snap to whistle. His offer list includes Jax State, ULM and Austin Peay but a strong senior season could find him in a P5 program. Jamar Moultrie Jamar Moultrie 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Hoover Highschool | 2025 State AL is a talented defensive back out of Hoover who has been a force in their secondary throughout the last few seasons. Moultrie is terrific in coverage, on tape you can consistently find him winning matchups against some very talented receivers across the state. Moultrie has a ton of speed, instincts, and physicality, making him a tough player to throw the ball against. He does a great job jamming receivers up at the line of scrimmage, isn’t easily baited, and uses his hands to frequently make plays on the ball, racking up interceptions and pass breakups across the field. In addition to how well he plays against the pass, Moultrie is great at attacking the run. He has a ton of pursuit- he doesn’t give up on plays and will try to track and take down the ball carrier each snap regardless of where he initially lined up pre-snap. All of these skills haven’t gone unnoticed by teams at the next level, Moultrie has picked up offers from Austin Peay, Jacksonville State, ULM, and plenty more. Be sure to be on the lookout for Moultrie this fall, he’s heading into a heck of a senior season and will likely make a ton of plays!

Jamar Moultrie Jamar Moultrie 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Hoover Highschool | 2025 State AL is a guy who combines athletic abilities with a good football IQ. His speed and agility are the first things you notice – Jamar can keep up with the fastest receivers and stay in their hip pocket throughout their routes. His quick feet and fluid hips allow him to change direction effortlessly, mirroring receivers’ movements and breaking up passes with precision. Jamar’s ball skills are exceptional. He has a knack for timing his jumps and making a big play for his team at any time. His ability to read the quarterback’s eyes and anticipate throws makes him a threat for interceptions. Jamar’s understanding of route concepts helps him in zone coverage, where he can disrupt passing lanes and make quarterbacks second-guess their decisions. Jamar is a dog in press coverage. He isn’t afraid to get hands-on at the line of scrimmage, disrupting receivers’ timing and knocking them off their routes. His competitive nature and confidence shine in one-on-one matchups, often leaving him on top in battles against top-tier receivers specially this past season. I can’t wait to see what’s next for this kid.

Jamar Moultrie Jamar Moultrie 5'11" | 170 lbs | DB Hoover Highschool | 2025 State AL is a talented junior defensive back for Hoover High School that has been putting out a lot of good tape this season. Last week however he may have had his best performance yet in his team’s matchup against Spain Park. Moultrie made a huge impact on special teams as he blocked two key kicks in the 28-20 victory. In addition to his special teams heroics, Moultrie made his presence felt in the secondary by hauling in an interception as well. All throughout last week’s game Moultrie was finding ways to end the opposing offenses momentum- he singlehandedly prevented them from scoring in three different possessions. Moultrie’s performance was truly showed off his elite versatility and his knack for making game-changing plays on both defense and special teams- keep an eye on him, he’s a serious playmaker.
