Stewartville's passing game exploded in 2024, and [player_tooltip player_id='234881' first='Parker' last='Wangen'] emerged as the go-to target for QB Ayden Helder en route to the Tigers winning their first high school football state championship in school history. Wangen's growth over the course of the year ended up getting him signed to Minnesota State-Mankato at the end of July. Wangen possesses all the traits of a top WR: size, frame, physicality, smooth route-running, and a great win-rate on 50-50 balls. There is no doubt that Wangen will have a great future for the Mavericks, but for now, his task will be keeping the path straight for the Tigers' offense as they transition under a new QB.

[player_tooltip player_id='234903' first='Braxton' last='Berlin']'s excellence may have more been on the defensive side of the ball last season, but Berlin also caught 9 passes for 110 yards, and he is primed to get a ton more reps next season on the offensive side of the ball. Berlin also is an all-conference golfer for the Tigers and plays as a guard for the basketball team. While we don't have any film currently of him, Berlin has proven to be versatile and an excellent all-around athlete, and he could be due for a breakout year heading into his senior season.

There will be a lot of buzz for Caledonia this season with their returning group of stars for the offense, which includes Tristan Meyer. Meyer recorded 26 catches for 350 yards and 2 touchdowns last season. Meyer was placed in a lot of different roles in the offense, lining up at the slot, in stack formation, and as a wingback, and he excelled in all of these roles. Meyer has clean route running, and he always is able to find a weak spot in his opposing defense's to attack in order to get open. Meyer has been particularly dangerous when sent in motion at the line, and is a deceptive fast runner in the open. Meyer has earned looks from several D2 teams during the offseason. Meyer will remain as the No. 1 WR for [player_tooltip player_id='1202012' first='Ethan' last='Stendel'] heading into 2024, a year where Caledonia has a serious shot of pushing for the state championship.

Fischer Wait was the swiss army knife for the Warriors last season. Wait was the top return specialist in the division, scoring both a kick and punt return touchdown, and recorded 17 tackles and an interception at DB. Wait served mostly as a reserve at WR, but is slated to break into the starting lineup following the graduation of several senior WRs. Wait showed his playmaking ability on his limited reps, with 97 yards on just 5 catches while adding 78 yards rushing and a touchdown. Wait has been almost too fast for defenses to handle, and he showed confidence in his routes and blocking during his limited reps. I can't wait to see Fischer Wait on the field again next season, and he could be potentially the biggest breakout candidate in the division heading into 2024.

Drew Sailer is a long, lean receiver, and his frame has helped established him as a dangerous red-zone threat for the Panthers' offense. Sailer has been one of the best receivers in the division when it's come to 1 on 1 matchups, and he catches through contact very well. Sailer has shown versatile as an all-purpose player, as an effective DB and as a reliable return specialist. Sailer has been sought after as a D2 and D3 prospect, and if he continues to thrive as a playmaker for the Panthers in 2024, Sailer should see a significant increase in interest among college teams.
