BROOKINGS, SD-- We keep our foot on the gas in Brookings at the SDSU Prospect Camp for our last piece we have from the first session. This list includes, Iowa and Nebraska sleepers, South Dakota prospects that stoodout on their home turf, and who put together the best work for the huge plethora of college coaches in attendance, and of course another South Dakota 2025 prospect that was quickly removed from college coaches sleeper list from his performance at SDSU.

Trent Hansen, TE, Pender, NE 2025

Trent was not the biggest TE I watched at SDSU, but I was impressed how well this young man played above those measurables from the reps I watched. Trent also showed off a great sized catch radius in Brookings and stood out with the width of his hands when I watched him later into 1v1s. The 6'0 205 pounder certainly shows consistency on tape with that hand size as if I didn't know it I would have guessed based on the size Trent plays to me more like a 6'2-6'3 tight end. A small town Nebraska sleeper to add to your radar in the 2025 class.

Carson Luense, LB, Linn-Mar, IA 2025 Twitter

Carson was a middle linebacker that popped out with the fluidity I want to see at that position at the next-level as he put some of those reps on display at SDSU a couple Thursdays ago. Carson also showed off the traits of a constant presser getting downhill with his sound vision he showed off. Carson showed off a good number in testing with his pro agility as well in Brookings. On tape, Carson shows off that persistent downhill press into the backfield as he fills in his gaps proficently stopping the run. Carson has one D3 offer thus far and I am sure will have a few more NAIA schools throughout Iowa adding him to their radar too.

A new name for those outside of the Dakotas, is our DB1 in the South Dakota 2026 class [player_tooltip player_id='848853' first='Bradley' last='Esser'] of Harrisburg who put together a strong showing of that ranking at SDSU. A few of our scouts in attendance loved watching the balanced footwork they saw out out of Bradley as a prospect as we know that shows off plenty of range with how long his lower body is. When we got into 1v1s, Bradley showed what we have seen a bunch this Spring in pass coverage, a DB prospect that dominates the wide receiver early with his physicality slowing their route way down before they reach the second level of their route. At 6'2 195, Bradley certainly showed off in Brookings why I already believe he should be an early offer coming out of the SD 2026 class.

Another one of our South Dakota 2026 prospects that had a great showing at SDSU, was Viborg-Hurley's [player_tooltip player_id='902661' first='Brady' last='Schroedermeier']. I have been very impressed with the athletic growth Brady has made since last Spring's Prep Redzone Dakotas Combine as he tested extremely well in Brookings too with a 9'6 broad jump, 4.26 pro agility and the most impressive number, stretched out to a wooping 6'5 and a half inch. This young man's instinctive escapability is fun as heck to watch on tape and he certainly showed off too a quicker release at the SDSU prospect camp in my eyes as another 2026 on the rise in the Mount Rushmore State.

Taevon Sueing, WR, Higley, AZ 2025 Twitter

Although 1v1s were cut somewhat short at SDSU due to the weather, a WR prospect that I doubt made his mark during them was Higley (AZ) 2025 wide receiver Teavon Sueing. At 5'10 155 pounds, there is crazy length built into this young man as he reached out at 6'3 and that was greatly shown in the 1v1 rep I caught which I recall as one of the top WR reps of the day per my notebook. Taevon showed the looks of an excellent route runner and showed off great change of direction with great hands that was a highly contested ball if I recall. He made his long trip from Arizona to South Dakota well worth it, picking up an NSIC offer in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='512112' first='Liam' last='Holmberg'], DB, Edina, MN 2025 Twitter

On the other side of the ball, one of the more impressive DB reps I caught came from Edina 2025 [player_tooltip player_id='512112' first='Liam' last='Holmberg']. The 6'0 200 pounder didn't even give the WR a chance on his routes, as Liam's glue like instincts stuck him dry very early in his route. Liam also showed off eye-catching change of direction from the earlier part of camp and on tape shows off a sound release anytime the wide receiver might think they have a solid cushion, he closes the gap with his long strides and great ball-tracking ability. I am quite surprised Liam hasn't attracted more offers in the NSIC to be honest.

Brady Kittleson, WR, Blooming Prairie, MN 2025 Twitter

I feel I have been hearing it all Spring and into camp season about how impressed our PRZ scouts have been impressed with Blooming Prairie 2025 wide receiver Brady Kittleson, and it was no different than what I saw at the SDSU Prospect Camp. Brady was another WR winner that impressed me during 1v1s in Brookings, as his route-running was everything I needed to see as in my eyes one of the stockrisers from camp season. Brady also showed off the length he has at his disposal during 1v1s as he brought in a difficult catch that really showed out his wingspan in my eyes. There clearly is a great football mind in the NSIC, that has already caught the wind of what they have been seeing from Brady at the same camps I have been at all summer long.

I hear all sorts of camp chatter at every camp of who is standing out even from the other side the field, and one of the names I heard commonly dropped was about Madison 2025 tight end [player_tooltip player_id='1212274' first='Ben' last='Brooks']. After getting a glimpse of his absurd testing numbers for his 6'8 size, I had to see it for myself. Ben showed me how quickly he can pick up newer football concepts with his excellent attention to detail. He showed off great pad-level and leverage with the blocks I got to watch in Brookings. I would say after the SDSU prospect camp, you cannot put Ben in any sort of sleeper category anymore as his 4.76 40-yard dash and 9'7 broad jump just show that their is a Division I target waiting in Madison, South Dakota.

[player_tooltip player_id='1184865' first='Kaden' last='Olson'], QB, West Fargo Sheyenne 2025 Twitter

Kaden was a prospect that getting a live camp eval was beneficial at the SDSU prospect camp as I came away impressed with what I saw from our #6 ranked quarterback in North Dakota. Kaden showed off great balance while in depth watching his footwork in the 1v1s I got to watch and also showed off great proficency on intermediate in Brookings. His rapid release sees the field quite quickly and from my eyes, I felt like his peformance in Jackrabbit country made him due for a boost up our 2025 rankings that will be out in August.
