San Diego Stock Risers

<p><em>Taking a look at San Diego's recent stock risers on the recruiting trail, including a trio of prospects that just recently added their first D-I offers. </em></p>    <p class="text-gray-700">Langer picked up his first pair of offers from Southern Utah and Eastern Washington in recent weeks. The 6'4”/260 OL out of Carlsbad put together a strong junior season for the Lancers showing great promise in his athleticism and IQ/awareness as a run blocker. He moves with quickness and lateral agility from his OT spot, is instinctive coming off blocks to pick up the next closest threat, and looks coordinated and under-control squaring up blocks in space. Plays with a relentless motor that drives him 15+ yards down the field and consistently opens lanes as a puller. Langer's trajectory is pointing up ahead of his senior season.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/AndrewLanger9/status/1808557184823013517 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Browne was one of the most underrated two-way players in San Diego coming into this offseason and has finally started to gain some traction on the recruiting trail, picking up his first 5 offers over the past few months including his first D-I offer from Brown on June 26. The senior WR/DB posted a massively productive junior season with 89 catches for over 1,300 yards and 18 TDs on offense and 42 tackles on defense. He's a strong-handed receiver that's effective as a deep threat with his speed, ball-tracking, and ability to win contested catches. He's a developing route-runner flashing quickness and change-of-speeds on quick hitters. The 6'4”/330 senior is a massive presence on both sides of the trenches from his OG and DT positions. He's an effective IOL that's light on his feet for his size and possesses the strength to anchor down in pass pro. He's mauler-type blocker that's at his best in tight spaces where he can get his hands on defenders and overpower them with his natural size/strength. He's a run-stuffer on defense that can clog interior running lanes and collapse the pocket with his drive off the ball. The 6'2”/200 ATH is a fast, physical playmaker on both sides of the ball that totaled 500 yards and 6 TDs at WR and 27 tackles and 3 INTs at S as a sophomore. He's a strong defender in space that can close ground downhill as a tackler and possesses the range to cover the middle of the field. He shows athleticism with the ball in his hands as both a WR and return specialist with his ability to cut and generate power as a downhill runner.
