Schrom took an official visit to Idaho this past weekend. Army-Navy Academy’s standout safety has been on campus with the Vandals multiple times this offseason and were the second program to offer Schrom back in March of this year. Schrom took unofficial visits to Columbia and UC Davis in the spring and just picked up his fourth offer from the Aggies this month.
I wanna shout out @CoachTFord @Coach_Dennison @coachTyPaopao and the rest of the @VandalFootball coaching staff for a great OV pic.twitter.com/pitwXNvt6l

Schrom is one of the more instinctual defensive players across the San Diego region and has tremendous length and size for the outside linebacker/strong safety position. He has natural instincts, closing, speed and range in the open field and is a very efficient tackler when triggering downhill. He shows disciplined eyes in zone coverage, baiting quarterbacks into poor throws over the middle before breaking and also shows elite return abilities with downfield speed that covers ground in a hurry. Overall, he is a very fluid athlete that has the ideal frame and build for the position at the next level and will be a late steal for a college program.

Schrom picked up his third D-I offer from Columbia during his spring visit this past weekend. The 6’3″/195 WR/DB from Army-Navy Academy has seen his stock rise significantly this offseason after producing nearly 1,000 receiving yards and 12 TDs on offense and 70 total tackles with 5 INTs as a junior. Offers great upside at S with the physicality and coverage skill he’s shown in his three varsity seasons (14 total INTs). Expect Schrom to add a few more Ivy League offers ahead of his senior season.
After a great visit with @Coach_Poppe @CoachJWood @CoachManion_ @CoachStoNGo I’m thankful to receive my 3rd D1 offer to @CULionsFB @FastCampAth @CoachBrunsonANA @dylanbradley_13 @ANAWarriors pic.twitter.com/h22LbVbviW

Schrom posted another productive season on both sides of the ball for Army-Navy in the fall. Totaled over 950 receiving yards and 12 TDs on 50 catches on offense and 70 tackles and 5 INTs on defense as a junior. Strong, physical athlete at 6’3″/200 that shows his combination of speed, power and ball skills from both WR and S spots. Projects as a future S at the next level with his ability to tackle in space, defend all three levels of the field and proven production on the ball. Schrom’s drawn interest from several Ivy League schools including Columbia, Dartmouth, Cornell, and Penn and could be due for his first offer this offseason.

Schrom- a two-year varsity starter heading into his junior season- picked up his first offer from D-III La Verne after their camp on June 15. The 6’2”/200 ATH is a fast, physical playmaker on both sides of the ball that totaled 500 yards and 6 TDs at WR and 27 tackles and 3 INTs at S as a sophomore. He’s a strong defender in space that can close ground downhill as a tackler and possesses the range to cover the middle of the field. He shows athleticism with the ball in his hands as both a WR and return specialist with his ability to cut and generate power as a downhill runner. Schrom’s one of the top two-way standouts to watch in North County this upcoming season.

Schrom proved to be a tough, physical two-way player (WR/S) for Army-Navy this season. He’s a strong, physical athlete at 6’2”/195 that can get down the field with built-up speed and make contested catches against tight coverage at WR. On defense, he’s a hard-hitter from his S spot that shows no hesitation closing space, delivers strong contact in the open field, and can create turnovers in the back-half (3 INTs). Depending on how he continues to develop, Schrom’s highest upside at the next level might come as a versatile SS or possibly a hybrid, coverage-focused OLB with his combination of physicality, athleticism, and translatable WR ball skills.
