[player_tooltip player_id='1648874' first='Ethan' last='Houser'] – ATH – Buford

The Buford Wolves pump out as much talent as any program in Georgia, and they've got a 2027 prospect on the roster bound for a breakout sophomore season this fall. A promising defensive back with quick feet and natural ball skills, Houser already holds several major offers and should see more come his way over time. A two-way standout due to his burst, length, and dependable hands, Hosuer has the ability to make plays as a pass-catcher on offense, but his potential in the secondary is easy to see. He can run, jump, catch, and make plays all over the field. Even as a sophomore, Houser has a chance to make a big impact for one of the state's top programs. The 6-foot-2 180-pounder is technically sound, shows fluid hips, and the ability to close on the receiver in coverage. He has 5-star potential and is ranked by Prep Redzone as the No. 1 DB prospect and the No. 12 overall prospect in the state for his class.

[player_tooltip player_id='378431' first='Adryan' last='Cole'] - Pace Academy

A new playmaking defensive back for a Pace Academy team that always produces talent, especially in the secondary, Cole is an impressive defensive back on the rise who is quickly becoming one of the top young defensive backs in the state. A rangy, instinctive defensive back with an excellent 6-foot-2 190-pound frame, Cole already looks like an easy Power Four prospect and has plenty of major offers to back it up. He's a natural in coverage, shows strong fundamentals when making a tackle, and has a ton of potential as a tough, run-stopping defensive back. Cole is bound for a giant sophomore season with the ability to help on both offense and special teams. If he continues to work hard on his cover skills while adding more muscle, Cole should continue to see big offers come his way. He's now ranked as the No. 18 overall prospect in Georgia according to Prep Redzone.

[player_tooltip player_id='941658' first='AJ' last='Hill'] Jr. - Thomasville

One of the top young prospects in Georgia, Hill Jr. is a versatile defensive back who can play in single coverage on the outside at cornerback with the ability to play in the middle of the field at safety. He has a nose for the football, can read the quarterback, and knows how to make a play on the ball. He's quick, instinctive, and brings a promising frame at 5-foot-11 175-pounds. A natural athlete with dependable hands when securing the ball, Hill Jr. is good enough to help on offense and special teams, but he was able to make an instant impact in the secondary last year as a freshman. A sure-tackle who excels in coverage, this playmaking South Georgia standout made 63 tackles, one sack, two INTs, and two forced fumbles. His best football is still way ahead of him and he's in store for a massive sophomore season this fall. He's ranked in the latest update as the No. 26 overall prospect in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='416419' first='Rilee' last='Drew'] - Grayson

Another Gwinnett County defensive back on the rise, Drew is an excellent athlete who has the ability to make plays on both sides of the ball for the Grayson Rams sooner than later. His potential as a shut-down corner is easy to see thanks to his quick feet, change of direction, and potential to grow under a very strong Grayson staff. The Rams are always loaded defensively and Drew might be one of the next great Ram defensive backs. He's hard-working, can stay with receivers down the field, and knows how to make a play on the ball. He's had a big off-season and even earned an offer from Kansas State after showing out in a camp setting. He's one of the top young defensive backs in the area and more offers should be coming his way down the line. Prep Redzone has him ranked as the No. 35 overall prospect in the state for the 2027 class.
