[player_tooltip player_id='422543' first='Jonaz' last='Walton'] - Carver

After two dominant seasons to start his high school season, Walton has clearly earned the right to be ranked as the No. 1 running back in Georgia for the 2026 class. A tough, tackle-breaking back with a muscular, compact 5-foot-9 200-pound frame, Walton also brings excellent burst and breakaway speed to the table. He can run through defenders due to his powerful build and lower body strength, but he can also out-run defenders to the end-zone with speed. He has a giant offer list already, and when you turn on the film, it's easy to see why. He runs with balance, shows impressive change of direction, and is tough to bring down by just one defenders. He's coming off a tremendous sophomore season where he ran for just under 1,700 yards and 22 touchdowns while averaging around 9 yards per carry. He's ranked as the No. 1 RB prospect and the No. 10 overall prospect in the latest 2026 rankings update.

[player_tooltip player_id='910346' first='Amari' last='Latimer'] - Sandy Creek

An outstanding young running back prospect east of Atlanta, Latimer has shown time and time again over his first two years that he's one of the best overall backs in the state. A shifty, explosive back who can bounce off defenders after initial contact, Latimer is coming off a big sophomore season where he ran wild for 1,400 yards and 17 TDs. Like Walton, he rings an impressive combination of speed and power, and it's led to major offers from some top programs across the country. He's a tough runner between the tackles with enough speed to bounce outside and take off down the sideline. He also shows the ability to cut on a dime and make defenders miss in the open field. As good as he was last season, look for Latimer to be even better as a junior this fall. He's currently ranked as the No. 2 RB prospect and the No. 16 overall prospect in the state.

[player_tooltip player_id='908951' first='Carsyn' last='Baker'] - Langston Hughes

An Atlanta-area running back who saw his recruitment take off in a big way over the last few months, Baker brings outstanding track speed to the gridiron along with a muscular 6-foot-1 195-pounds. He ran an eye-opening 10.65 in the 100-meter this spring, which led to a slew of offers this spring and summer. He brings easy size, speed, and game-changing ability o the Langston Hughes offense, and those are a few big reasons why he's now ranked as the No. 3 RB prospect and the No. 23 overall prospect in the state. With a giant junior season this fall, that ranking will only increase more and more over time. He played behind two seniors last year as a sophomore, but Baker has a chance to dominate and light up the stat sheet in 2024 as a junior. The talent and potential is easy to see, and we expect him to have a monster season this upcoming fall.

[player_tooltip player_id='283859' first='Jayreon' last='Campbell'] - McEachern

An elusive back with a strong combination of quickness and size at 5-foot-11 190-pounds, Campbell is a versatile, all-purpose back who can make an impact in several different ways. The fast-rising Cob County back brings good vision and burst for his age who can get to the sideline and up the field for big gains. He runs with balance, and knows how to stay on his feet and continue picking up yards after first contact. He also shows dependable hands and can make plays out of the backfield in the passing game. He saw his recruitment really pick up this offseason, and so did his new Prep Redzone ranking. Now, this impressive McEachern back is ranked as the No. 4 RB prospect and the No. 34 overall prospect in the state. He shows plenty of potential and expected to have a giant junior season in 2024.
