PRZPA Team Preview, Central Dauphin East

<p><strong>Season Outlook</strong>: Central Dauphin East has had a hard time gaining traction in the Commonwealth Section of the Mid-Penn Conference. They won 3 games two years ago and 4 games last year. They bring back talented players, so time will tell if they can break through and win more games this season.</p>   <p><strong>Current Head Coach</strong>: Lance Dean</p>   <p><strong>Top returning 2024 prospects: </strong></p>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='386034' first='Jared' last='Porter'] is a good athlete and one of the best prospects in the 2025 class. Porter can do it all on the football field. His athleticism, speed, and strength are impressive. He is already committed to Delaware. Below is what I wrote about him last season:</p>   <p>"<strong>[player_tooltip player_id='386034' first='Jared' last='Porter']</strong> had a great Junior Year for Central Dauphin East. Porter plays as both a running back and defensive back. At both positions, he shows good athleticism and elite ball skills. At running back he is a home run-waiting every time he touches the ball. He rushed for over 1800 yards on the year. When Porter hits the hole he has a quickness and acceleration unmatched by most prospects. On defense, he plays around and makes plays all over the field. He has a good stance and starts and fires off the ball well. He shows good strength as he can lock onto defensive linemen and drive them off the ball. He also moves his feet well and stays in front of pass rushers. Putric is a good prospect that has started to visit several colleges.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/adam_putric/status/1812279739798925691 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1131218' first='Demaj' last='Jalloh'] is a talented quarterback who has all the skills to play at the next level. He is equally as good inside the pocket as he is outside the pocket. He is a dynamic athlete who makes a ton of plays for his team. He got an offer from Lincoln in the spring. I think more should come his way with a strong Senior year. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:</p>   <p>"<strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1131218' first='Demaj' last='Jalloh']</strong><a href="https://prepredzone.com/player/demaj-jalloh/"></a> is a playmaker at quarterback for Central Dauphin East. As a runner, he has elite skills. He is good at making defenders miss and has a great burst. He is also good at scrambling around and making plays on his feet. As a thrower of the football, he is highly skilled as well. He has excellent mechanics and delivers a good football. Jalloh throws a good deep ball, where he puts the right amount of touch on the ball. Jalloh is a talented prospect in the 2025 class". </p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/Demaj25/status/1787651259261972592 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1165830' first='Santana' last='Young'] is a dynamic wide receiver and athlete in the 2025 class. I saw him play at our Prep Redzone Showcase in January and he was the best wide receiver at the showcase. Young has since transferred from Trinity to Central Dauphin East where he would be another weapon for the Central Dauphin East offense. Below is what I wrote about him earlier this year:</p>   <p>"<strong>[player_tooltip player_id='386321' first='Tanie' last='Young']</strong> is someone I was looking forward to watching the Showcase because his film was so good from last year. Young is a human highlight film who makes plays a lot every time he touches the ball. Young earned MVP honors at the camp for the wide receiver position as he was dominant throughout the entire showcase. Young ran a 4.68 40 time, which is a solid number. Young caught everything thrown his way. He especially showed good ability in one-on-one drills where he stepped up his game even more. I came away very impressed with him as a player and a name to watch going forward".</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Zackary Brown is a twitchy and athletic player that every team wishes they had. He is one of the best players in the 2026 class. Brown played linebacker and wide receiver last year. At linebacker, he shows off his athleticism by always attacking the offense. He is a great blitzer who just crushes the offense with his athleticism when he blitzes. He also shows good fundamentals by reading and reacting to the play and attacking downhill. He is also a good tackler who tackles offensive players with a ton of force. He has limited film on offense but shows a good ability to catch the ball and make defenders miss. His recruitment started to pick up when he got an offer from Umass after he got an offer from Nebraska in the winter. Brown should get more offers as well going forward.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/717ZachB1/status/1792580646293889081 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Kyle Bloss was a consistent kicker last year for Central Dauphin East. He was good from 30 yards in. His longest field goal was from 37 yards, which is an impressive kick for a high school kick. Bloss also did a nice job of punts. Kicking several for over 40 yards. Bloss should be an even better kicker this year after last year's experience.</p>    <figure class="wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter"><div class="wp-block-embed__wrapper"> https://twitter.com/kyle_bloss/status/1739059365653491903 </div></figure>    <p class="text-gray-700">Darrien Cofield has limited film from last year but flashed some good skills at defensive back. He has good coverage skills and does a nice job of breaking on the ball thrown in his direction. Cofield should be a bigger contributor this season for Central Dauphin East. </p>     <p class="text-gray-700">[player_tooltip player_id='1513180' first='Leon' last='Parson'] has limited film last year, but he showed good ability at running back and defensive back. At running back he hits the hole well and runs hard. He shows a good burst in the hole. He is a cornerback who shows good coverage skills. Parson should play at a higher level this year. </p>    <p><strong>Final Thoughts: </strong>Central Dauphin East has some good skilled position prospects, so they have a chance to compete this year, but it will depend on how well their offensive line can come together and improve. </p>
