Up next in my series of 2024 program profiles is the Bethlehem Catholic Hawks. The Hawks are a talented team and are coming off a quality 2023 campaign that saw them go 7-6 but did sturggle in confrence play with a 4-5 record against East Penn Conference foes. That being said, there should be plenty of optimism surrounding this Hawks team entering this upcoming fall and we'll go over a handful of their top prospects below.

The junior quarterback is one of the top-20 quarterbacks in the state of Pennsylvania and a top-200 prospect within our 2026 recruiting rankings. Last season, Vassa threw for 1,529 yards and 18 touchdowns to seven interceptions. He also ran for 378 yards and five touchdowns. Vassa has good size for the position at 6-foot-0 and around the 175-pound mark. While he has dual-threat capabilities, Vassa doesn't necessarily look to use his legs all the time. That being said, he's a great decision maker on RPOs, he has the ability to quickly identify holes in opposing defenses and make the decision to give or keep the ball. Good athlete, if he hits the open hole untouched, good luck bringing him down. Really excited to see what Vassa can do this upcoming season for Bethlehem Catholic. Plenty of upside with Vassa and has FCS upside.

Vassa is one of the top prospects in the entire class of 2027 within the state and in our opinion is on his way to being an FBS level prospect. He's got a tremendous football IQ for a rising sophomore and is just as strong of an athlete. As a freshman, he was one of the top wide receivers in the entire state with 42 receptions for 794 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Ayache is a riser in our 2026 rankings and is now a top-200 prospect within the state. Has the ability to play either side of the ball at the next level though we currently like him a little bit more currently as a defensive lineman. Where he ends up at the college level remains to be seen, he's best as a defensive end right now but could easily grow into a defensive tackle as well. We're hoping to see a big season out of Ayache on the field this fall.

Charmant is a great offensive lineman who we currently have as a borderline top-100 prospect, putting him strongly in the FCS projections. Charmant is a great offensive lineman who we currently have as a borderline top-100 prospect, putting him strongly in the FCS projections. He already has great size for the position at 6-foot-5 and 275-pounds, he'll easily be able to add another 25-35 pounds to his frame over the next several years. Charmant is a good athlete and shows the ability to get to the next level in front of his running backs and open a lane. Quality foot speed that allows him to maintain control of opposing defensive lineman while also showing good bend and balance, allowing him to have success against more athletic pass rushers.

Cousar is a nice sized wide receiver and defensive back for Bethlehem Catholic. He also spends some time at outside linebacker. As a junior, he was especially good defensively with 40 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, four interceptions and six additional pass break ups. Cousar is a plus IQ defender who does a great job of reading the quarterback's eyes but also does a great job of reading the receiver as the ball is getting closer in order to not just make a play on the receiver but also the ball.

Perez is a decent sized linebacker in the class of 2025 who has upside at the position. Shows a good motor on the field and takes smart routes to the ball, using his motor to chase down ball carriers. His athleticism allows him to play sideline to sideline while also being quality against both the pass and the run. Perez is a prospect that PSAC schools should keep an eye on throughout this year, has quality speed as well which could allow him to transition to a different position at the next level as well.
