is an electric wide receiver with the ball in his hands. His ability to make defenders miss is special. On one play, I saw him catch a slant in front of a crowd of defenders. He then made like 4 defenders miss for a touchdown. Then he has next-level speed. Defenders cannot guard him one-on-one. On several plays, he just outran them to create separation. He also has good body control to outjump defenders when matched up one-on-one. He currently has two offers, one from Temple and one from Towson. I expect more will come his way.
Blessed to receive my 2nd D1 offer from Towson University!! Awesome visit!@CoachBrae88 @CoachHRichards @CoachBMyers @CoachNeugs1288 @CoachHarris410 @coachbernard11 pic.twitter.com/4Eu08LEQBd

Without a doubt the best college prospect at the program. An FBS grade given, yet he hasn’t received the love that I think his game warrants. Plenty of time for all of that, as

5’11, 180 pounds. A stellar two-way prospect who can change a football game in one rep. Vassa doesn’t have a mid-season tape out, so I can’t check-in to see what has changed since his pre-season evaluation.
I’ll relay my live notes after the ACC game here. *Was contained a bit on offense, only had one catch to his name yet ACC was adamant in keeping him bottled up all game. Still a great performance from his corner spot. Broke on the ball twice for PBUs, kid is a blur on the field. Had an interception negated by a penalty in this one. Was stellar in coverage.
Previous pieces have gone deeper into Vassa’s skillset. I’ll leave it at here for now, until a mid-season or full season tape drops. I have a feeling

FIRST HALF NOTES:@Shacre6 is a problem to try and stop, he turns a 50/50 ball into an 80/20 ball. His speed off his release already has him drawing PIs and beating 1 on 1s @cartervassa as composed as they come at DB, was targeted a ton in that first half and showed he’s up…

The three mentioned above don’t need too much fanfare, they each have bandwagons following along their trail through high school recruitment.

, a sophomore out of Bethlehem Catholic, doesn’t have said parade shouting out his name to the masses. I might be the lone voice, outside of his inner circle and surrounding community, who believes he’s in the same tier as some of the names mentioned above. Wyomissing, McDevitt, SJP, they’ve all churned out stars at the collegiate level, that isn’t always the case for BecaHi. Some might be weary to stamp Vassa because of this, I’d argue anyone thinking this to turn on this kid’s tape.
Otherworldly speed and acceleration skills. I’m unsure if Vassa runs track, but based on some of his vertical reps, based on how he runs by DBs, I hope someone gets him on the track sooner rather than later. Racked up 800 yards through the air as a freshman, this on 42 receptions, gaudy numbers for an incoming freshman. Nine of those 42 receptions went for scores, Vassa also dominated in the secondary for BecaHi. Has a gear he can hit that can break angles set by DBs who have ten yards of space ahead of Vassa. Multiple one-hand receptions recorded on tape show off Vassa’s next-level hand-eye coordination and body control. Is just 5’11, yet can sky for balls that often have you thinking he’s 6’2+. Can be tasked with hitting all three levels of the field. Vassa can score on nines, digs, hitches, screens, you name it, he’s a walking weapon. Vassa eats on offense, but don’t sleep on his potential at corner. That unreal speed can be just as damaging to an offense as it can be to a defense. Good luck out-pacing Vassa if attacking the secondary vertically down the boundary. It’s unlikely you are going to beat him with speed alone. Vassa’s tracking ability translates when at corner as well, quite the complete athlete at Bethlehem Catholic’s disposal. Some might be reluctant to recruit District 11 early, I’ve witnessed many programs miss out on potential studs because of it. Don’t be late on Vassa, be early.

Vassa is one of the top prospects in the entire class of 2027 within the state and in our opinion is on his way to being an FBS level prospect. He’s got a tremendous football IQ for a rising sophomore and is just as strong of an athlete. As a freshman, he was one of the top wide receivers in the entire state with 42 receptions for 794 receiving yards and nine touchdowns.

Shocked that this kid is just a freshman. Doesn’t operate like a freshman, Vassa is going to be an absolute star out of District 11 in time, if he already isn’t considered so by his peers. Vassa, stationed at wideout and corner, reeled in two awesome grabs in this one, both catches wowing the crowd and sideline. I hardly ever use the word elite,

draws out that adjective when describing his acceleration skills, as well as is hand-eye coordination. Looks like the kid has a jetpack starpped to his back. Can’t wait to hear what his 40-time ends up being after verified camp performances. His awareness is that of a seasoned upperclassman too. Aware of his surroundings, aware of leverage while running routes. Special player. His reps at corner are what wowed me during the game itself, I then keyed on him for the rest of the game after watching him strap one of ACC’s best prospects on a few reps. Kid is going to place high among his 2027 classmates.
