NorCal Next Up 2027 Prospects

<h2 class="wp-block-heading">Northern California names to know in the 2027 class. </h2>    <p class="text-gray-700">High caliber young offensive lineman out of one of the top programs in northern California. At 6'2” 275 lbs. he's already got a well-balanced frame with natural power. He's a heavy striker at first contact with the ability to re-anchor and re-position himself as the play develops. Impressive athleticism and natural movement skills for his size and age. Shows good bend and quick feet to move laterally and maintain positional leverage. Takes good angles to his blocks flashing his ability to line up a defender and sustain at the second level and to the perimeter. Violent and aggressive finisher that accelerates his feet upon contact to drive opponents off the ball or to the ground. Has the potential to play multiple spots on the OL depending on development and progression. Will be a major D1 prospect going forward.</p>     <p class="text-gray-700">Well-rounded skillset with a combination of size, athleticism, and initial quickness off the LOS. At 6'3” 265 lbs. he can dominate the line using his natural strength and power at the contact point. Plays with an edge and is tough for the OL to get in front of with his quick and explosive first step off the ball. Shows he can absorb the initial strike and then use his quick and active hands to fight off contact and find the ball carrier. A plus athlete that can work laterally and redirect to the ball using his speed to chase from the backside and down field. Plays hard and to the whistle with good effort and finishing ability. Currently ranked the #6 2027 DL prospect in the state by PRZ and just outside the top 50 overall. At 5'10” 170 lbs. he's a speedster that presses the LOS quickly to apply pressure to the defense. In addition to his top end speed, he's got quick twitch and plus lateral agility to make quick cuts and be elusive in the open field. His movement are sudden and explosive forcing defenders to over pursue and take bad angles to the ball. Maintains good leg drive and forward momentum at the POA to break tackles and gain extra yards after contact. Flashes great vision and spatial awareness of where defenders are on the field to find open running lanes and get to space. Can line up and be effective playing any skilled position on the field but excelled as a freshman out of the slot and at CB. At 5'10” 155 lbs. his speed and natural playmaking ability make him a homerun threat every time he touches the ball. Possesses high level body control, leaping ability, and ball skills to attack and compete for the it in the air. Does a great job tracking and adjusting downfield. Love his short area acceleration and sustained second gear to breakaway from defenders in the open field. On defense, he shows great range and change of direction to stay in phase and cover all three depths of the field. Already holds ideal size and length to play multiple positions at the college level at 6'4” 270 lbs. with good weight distribution in his frame. Raw power and strength allow him to move defenders off the ball and violently finish through initial contact. Plays with leverage and good pad level throughout the play and uses his hands well to latch on and sustain. Demonstrates a good understanding and ability to adapt to pressure and different defensive fronts/stunts as the play develops. Colleges will love his movement skills and footwork blocking in space and getting in front as a puller. Shows he can match lateral movement and maintain positioning against quick and athletic defenders.
