Vaetoe is going to be one of the top interior rushers in his class across California by the time it’s all said and done and has elite athleticism for his size and is a violent and twitched up prospect that should have multiple power five options available over the next couple of years. He was offered by Oregon State during the season, and was just offered by USC this past week.

Vaetoe is a tremendous athlete for his size and is one of the top Sophomore defensive line prospects across California. He is extremely violent at the point of attack with his hands and shows good chest control and consistent lockout while also able to two gap and violently shed without giving up ground. He wins with good initial power and leverage while flashing a quick first step and plays with a high motor when pursuing backside and downfield. Still developing technically, he has tremendous interior length and upside at the next level and should see his recruitment explode this Spring. He was offered by Oregon State last week and is a no brainer 10+ offer guy by the time it’s all said and done.

Well-rounded skillset with a combination of size, athleticism, and initial quickness off the LOS. At 6’3” 265 lbs. he can dominate the line using his natural strength and power at the contact point. Plays with an edge and is tough for the OL to get in front of with his quick and explosive first step off the ball. Shows he can absorb the initial strike and then use his quick and active hands to fight off contact and find the ball carrier. A plus athlete that can work laterally and redirect to the ball using his speed to chase from the backside and down field. Plays hard and to the whistle with good effort and finishing ability. Currently ranked the #6 2027 DL prospect in the state by PRZ and just outside the top 50 overall.
